I know the movie the Amitiville horror the walls would bleed, looks like in that abandoned house the walls bled of honey lol.I dont know if it was because it looked like an old hive and the bees might have abandoned it or because of the fast motion of the film here that I couldnt see the big swarm of bees here.just amazed at how it looks ..honey bleeding out lol
africanized Honey Bees are more aggressive But they can be handled in the same manner . people in Africa collect honey bare foot no gloves or hood with smoke an baskets. you dont want to poke it with a stick an stand there ;)
@green2lean You want some Africanized genome in your bees. Better disease resistant and much better mite tolerance. They are the way to go for organic beekeeping. Hot but chemical free.
@green2lean That's BS. One needs to accept the conditions of the area you are in. If strains of AHB are the only be surviving mites and SHB, then you need to work with those strains of bees. The days of only European bees are over in Texas.

Just curious, if it was an abandoned shack, why not just let them be? yah, yah, there's a pun there.

I'm currently reading a book that says not to capture feral bees in Texas due to the Africanized Honey Bee population here. What do you think?
