If he says one thing, her immediate response is either "no", henpecks something to death or replies with "gross." She's probably embarrassed of or overcompensates in Manhattan for being from Queens. She's out of touch. I've noticed alot of girls today who date pretty boys act that way. Shallow Betty.

i hate betty. not just in this scene. in general. she is an annoying little fucktard, and, despite her supposed intelligence, possibly the most retarded character on the show. i mean, seriously. she actually expects to one day be able to run a magazine despite constant reminders (read every episode) of her unbelievable naivete? renting out an apartment without looking at it, trying to put average sized women into a fashion magazine just because it seems morally right to her..etc. fucking idiot.

I think Betty is like alot of young women out there. She's smart academically but socially sheltered. To her benefit, she's one step ahead of alot of competition just because people observe her interaction with others. You can be a complete bitch to someone but then ya don't have reason to complain if it gets you nowhere. At least Betty, especially in this scene, owes up to her behaviour and accepts responsibility for how Gio perceives her. That's being a bigger person. Career notwithstanding.

Thank you SO much for posting this - I'm glad I've got to see the ending at last :) Certainly not a definite closure to their story so fingers crossed he'll be back next season.
