  • What a wonderful song. Could someone please let me know which movie this song belongs to.

  • Can any Malayali help me in spotting a dazzling male duet in Malayalam by KJY and SPB?? There would not be more than 2 or three songs in Malayalm that have SPB and KJY together.

The era of the song should be around early 80s

  • sakkanaina, in case you haven't found them out, got 2 for you from the internet:

    (1)FILM = Sarpam SONG = "Swarnameeninte chelotha" includes P.Susheela & Vani Jairam

    (2) FILM = Thusharam SONG = "Manje vaa madhu vidhu"

    includes S Janaki

Not strictly male duets. You are right - both are from very early eighties. Hope this helps.

  • Avin,

Thanks for the reply. No, it was an all male duet. The tune somewhat resembled a qawwali!

  • Swarnameeninte chelotha mentioned by avin44 sounds like a qawwali.

  • Written by the great Vayalar Rama Varma. It asks astronauts if when they visited other stars and planets - "did you find men there/ did you find religions there?"

  • awesome.wat a singer

  • What a great singer!

  • Nice song. I thought that he would have a big accent, but it's actually not so bad. Very nice.

  • SPB: What a blessed, simple and humble human being!!! He is just such a great singer. Love it!!! The song..... Whoa.... the meaning and the music just super..... brought tears!!! AWESOME!!! May GOD bless you SPB....

  • SP Balasubramaniom has a voice control of unbelievable scale, such a fabulous god-given talent!! I have heard he has had very little conventional vocal training!! is that true?

  • Infact he did NOT have any training...He only had a dream to become a playback singer...See God has bestowed him with 40000+ songs....He is truly India's pride
