It should have been inspected and either destroyed or rebuilt a long time ago. What was the price? Four real people fucking died.
They say that if you die in a church, you've died in the absolute safest place you could have possible died in.
Yet even so, no one has the right to questions the Christian belief just because that happened at a church. Any place that had been hit by a quake can and would have crumbled like that. It's not fair to go into a religious debate over such a tragedy.

You forget the fact that there are many different "versions" of God (although they are not biblical.) Let's say a man lost everything he had and looks to some preacher. The preacher merely tells him to accept life. That may not be satisfying to the man who is hurt that bad. God is more than that. He knows and cares what that man went through. All I'm saying is that God never makes mistakes, no matter the outcome. The people should've checked that ancient building before any accidents occured.

If you claim that God effectively killed them by not saving them, remember that God never said He would protect any of us from all harm, whether we are in a church or not. Maybe it was their time to go. Just because there is a God doesn't mean anyone is guaranteed protection from everyday dangers; He never promised that.

I understand why you drew that conclusion, but think of it like this: if God had to save these people in order to be a good being, it follows that He would ultimately have to protect everyone from all harm. God made the world so that no one would suffer, but death and pain entered it with our sin, and we won't have respite from it unless we get to Heaven.
