  • Gotta love the bass lines and Imani's backing 3

  • If you don't like Mike Patton your favortie show is American Idol.

  • mike, please make another peeping tom record! or a mr bungle reunion

  • somebody turn on rahzel's mic please

  • much music..mike and friends..nuff raspect!!!

  • Did Rahzel screw up at 1:18 or did his mic stop working? Usually he sings/raps the "Now that you don't love me ..." part.

  • @MrVinushka

    this is the beatbox part...

  • @BarbaraBerces Nooo ... like I said. Watch any other version (or listen to the actual song) and you'll see that he's usually supposed to rap a chorus at that point.

  • love the hair net, mike. <3

  • @Tupac14901 why does every one assume i keep coming to this page to diss this man. I made 1 small comment a long time ago, and got blasted for it. its ppl like u that need to let it go , & fuck off.

  • Puta que Pariu!!!!!! Que som é esse????

    Muuuito bom!!!

  • BUENISIMO.....!!

  • I listen to music across all genres, and im generally not a Patton fan, but i appreciate this clip simply because regardless of whether you're a Patton fan or not, he's bringing a song that's not very well-known to his fans & the people they'll show it to, & it'll give more people access to Marvin Gaye and others, and increased musical awareness/appreciation is great, in my opinion.

  • I can listen to this over and over again.

Love it so fun, so right.

    Patton is hot!

  • I know i love it so much!!!!! it just doesnt get old- 110th street is amazing as well- you think FNM will come to america?

  • its been weeks since I watched this vid but I see Xrissmiles has been here insulting people- heres the deal. Mike patton has a hard core fan base-we love him- he is a cult legend becaue he is always pushing his limits always trying something new here is some information for you first of all the kid rock comment makes you dumb here why. Mike Patton career began in the late 80's his most famous commerical sucess was Faith No More but his hardcore fans tend to be into everything that came later.

  • To name a few of his other projects lovage- Fantomas- Mr. Bungle- Tomhawk and many many more he is what is know as a musicians musician he was the voice of the zombies in I am Legend so you see it would be wise for you to move along now and at least critize an artist who's career you are farmiler with

  • so how long have been going back and forth about this? Fine you think its corny I think its sublime- Iistned to some of your stuff- did not do much for me- like send chills down my spine which is what mike patton does when he sings 110th street- this is simply two people with radically different attitudes towards art- I am an artist a writer- now your gonna bag on my spelling i dont care- have a nice thanksgiving and christmas

    Best Mary9000

  • i know ur tired of the back and forth, but it dont make me none.

keep my nam out ur mouf (aka words) and i wont respond no more.

have a nice thanksgiving and christmas

  • better than the original!

  • Comment removed

  • How can his opinion be bullshit? You don't really make much sense really.

  • i know this guy has been relentless about this cover- and making fun of M.P fans check out his music it makes it clear why he cant get it- he isnt aware of the die hard fan base

  • I know, but the thing is, he claimed Patton butchered a song haha. Its a bit hypocritical of him really.

  • right- do you think he he thinks he is a better vocalist a better musicaian- he use to slam me for not knowing much about music becasue I was confused when he compared M.P to Elvis- then he explained what he meant- which was, white people making money singing songs written by black people yeah I am sure this cover was never even sold

    Best Mary

  • @cloudpierre it's good but it isn't that good . . . get real

  • After Reading some of the comments, I'll leave my 2 cents as well. As for XrisSmiles, I see your point, Although the beat and band are on point and worthy of jamming to, I'm not sold on the vocals on this song for some reason. This guys a good artist but I will say this. History has shown that only the best can take a legends song and make it pop, he gave a good effort but did'nt quite do it for me.

  • I just thought of something else, how the HelL is Razel SUPPOSE TO BEAT BOX, when the drummer is still drumming? LMAO, get that clown off stage. Razel might as well be a mime, if the drums are going.

    that is actually pretty funny,lol

  • my friend you can actually hear him beatbox if you listen. It's perfectly well blended with the drums and sounds like 2 drums playing at times. Actually the drums were toned down a bit to produce this effect.

  • His mic wasnt working, thats why you cant hear him.

  • @XrisSmiles The drummer doesn't need to stop for a beat boxer to serve a purpose. There are a number of bands with multiple percussionists. Rahzel also beat boxed with a drummer in the Roots. He wouldn't be in the group if he was a dead leg. You know... If you want to know more about music, just ask instead of making fun of something that you don't understand. That way you can cut out the feeling of negativity that you will surely get from comments sent by angry fans.

  • @TapesTree point well taken. i understand music very well, though. i have nothing against the guy, i just think its a crumby cover. not the music but the vocal style, it doesn't work. when Marvin Gaye sung this song, just by listening to him u can feel heartbreak & pain, in the vocals. When Mike Patton sings its, u can hear some pain alright, yeah like a cat that got its balls nicked my a lawnmower, LMAO!!!!!!!!!

  • @XrisSmiles It was better than this cover, I agree. I don't feel heartbreak and pain though from either version. Both are too upbeat for me to feel that way. This makes me feel heartbreak and pain: The angelic process - Million year summer

  • @XrisSmiles your still here slamming mike patton i read the comments like a year ago and you were here what is your deal? if you like marvin gaye's version go listen ot it.... mike patton is amazing and this cover is amazing but you have to like mike patton to get it dont you have anything better to do- and i have seen your channel or whatever with your music and you will never be as talnted as this guy or have such an off beat cult following

  • @marysometimes9000 U know what, ILL LET IT GO WHEN YALL STOP FUCKIN WIT ME. DAMN, Yall keep tellin me, " If i dont like it, dont listen to it." i agree. im tryin to drop it, but fucks like u keep it open. Its just as easy to stop slamming me, as it is for me to stop slamming HIM. So practice what u preach. Dont reply to my comments, ill disappear.

As far as Mike being more talented than me: if "Chicken Noodle soup wit a soda on the side" can be a hit, anyone can make a hit song. never say never

  • elvis ain't dead, he tried to suck my cock yesterday.

  • Absolutely cool!

    Pure energy.

  • U must relize Mike patton is insane LOL and sometimes he sings like hes a French Cook LOL ok

  • ITS A COVER ITS NOT SUPPOSED TO SOUND EXACTLY THE SAME

He's actually quite the accomplished singer with a huge vocal range

  • Mike Patton can't sing?!?!?!?!? man what kinda shit are you on? Patton is hands down the best vocalist of my (or probably any other) generation. I bet you Marvin Gaye (as good as he is) couldn't have done rock/hip-hop/italian operas/metal/avant garde jazz the way Patton can. So why not take your bullshit somewhere else instead of trying (rather poorly) to insult the musical genius of our time.

  • Marvin Gaye is a Legend, fine, he probably wouldnt have been as versatile, But Tom cant hold a candle to Marvin Gaye.

The beat is on fire, if he orchestrated the cover, than he is good at that. but the vocals is horrible.

Let me explain this to u, this SOUL song is about a man that is having a hard time. When Marvin Gaye sung it, u could feel the pain through his voice, thats what made soul singers so special. We feel the music.

But then these Elvis's take& it mess it up, screamin &shit...

  • take your color in the lines musical tastes elsewhere- Elvis's what the fuck are you talking about?

  • marysometimes9000 - im reffering to how some songs are universal & can take on many different styles. But there are some songs that are specificly meant to be "soulful" this song is one of them. If u had some soul, u would understand why im saying this, u could hear it for urself too. iN a nutshell, i dont like this damn cover to this song, he might be good, but to me if u love Marvin Gaye, u would hate this cover. thats my opinion, i let it go 2 weeks ago. THIS COVER SUCKS BAD!!!!

  • Elvis's?

  • lol, i was just at Graceland.

Ok, well if u cant understand what i meant by "Elvis", than u probably dont know much about music.

Everybody knows that Elvis became popular for being a White man that used Black music, but did not give blacks credit. Blacks made Rock & Roll years b4 Elvis, but whites never gave credit wher credit was due. but as soon as they but a white face behind it, they called him the King. So if ur gonna do black music, DO IT RIGHT, dont give it a caucasian overload

  • Who are you to say that someone doesn't know much about music? YOU are the one who actually takes Justin Timberlake seriously.

  • Justin is more real than this "Kid rock wanna be"

Justin woudn't have screwed up the vocals. Also he would have the skills to do the whole song, instead of having Razel BEAT BOX during the best part.

and ur pking fun of my grammer, is that the best u can do punk ass. do u really think u and these other wiggers that love this punk are worthy of a spell check?

Well. .. i dont think so, btw, i have a degree, do u?

  • they offer degrees in being an asshole now? see you in hell

  • yeah they do offer degrees in being an asshole, right after u got u Cock Master Degree, with a 4.0 gpa. Top of the class huh. lol ur funny.

btw, i dont plan on going to Hell.

  • You think he is some type of kid rock want to be- so you dont really know much about him you attacked me and everyone else for liking the cover I dont go on to youtube watch vids of stuff I dont like then insult the people who do like by suggesting "they know nothing about music" how did you know about the cock masters degree? Did you apply and your g.p.a was to low so you went for asshole? I dont know what WE-tarts means but then again your grammer sucks almost as much as marvin gaye

  • LMAO!! u are a "We-tart" if u dont know what it means. (hint: RETARD)

First of all, i didn't attack anyone at 1st, but Mike. I never said nothin about any of yall until i was attacked first. Go back & read, if u know how to read? I bet when u received ur Cock diploma they put u a chick-fila coupon in it 4 ur reward.

OK, Mike has debatable skills, but Marvin Gaye is a Legend. ur saying that to piss me off, it aint working, its just making u look more stupid. BTW im a musician what can u do?

  • What can I say you really put me in my place. A musician wow, there is guy playing on the corner of my street for money he is muscician to so his my drunken wife beating cousin, lots of people are musicians- but there is only one mike patton

  • you are an such a fucking asshole- you went to graceland wow, you are right in the face of your deep understanding of Elvis I know nothing.... you just dont get it at all Mike Patton isnt trying to do this or that you just dont get it at all

  • marysometimes9000 - I mentioned Elvis cause every 1 should know, he became famous because he used black music. But thats ok, he did it right

All im trying to say is that u cant just do it any way u want & it will sound good. Soul music has always been about putting ur emotion into the song. i havent blasted any other song of his but this 1. So u can stop saying i have a problem with him, its this song.

hIS ARTICULATION, is not soulful, "DAAAZZPRAAT" Its winey, it doesn't flow i dont work

  • @XrisSmiles do not agree.

  • btw marysometimes9000, have u heard the orignal?

  • yes I have and I liked it and I like it When Mike Patton sings it, now because of you, anytime someone mentions Marvin Gaye I will think of, know it all jerk off assholes, like you

  • I think it sounds great. Also it sounds like you're forgetting about a little thing called ARTIST LICENSE which basically allows you to do whatever the FUCK you want creatively. This could have very easily been a death metal cover... would you have been more or less pissed?

  • well have u heard Marvin Gaye's version.

some R&B songs sound good rocked out, Like "Smooth Criminal".

this song if recreated, needs a Michael McDonald or Justin Timberlake vocalist. OK OK iLL Tell u what i dont like....

  • OK OK iLL Tell u what i dont like....

    the articulation, @ 0:44 "DaaaaazzPraaaaatttt"

the word is "Desperate". Now it will work in other songs but not on R&B.

On the bridge, the words "tenderness" then "memories" i dont like the way he draggs & slurrs the notes.

plus leaves out the part " NIGHT AFTER NIGHT I LAY STARRING AT THE CELING, WONDERING WHERE U ARE WHO UR WITH & WHAT UR FELLING" thats the best part. instead he has Razel Rap?? its cause he aint got the skills to do it himself.

  • dude what is your fucking promblem why are you watching all this mike patton stuff if you think he sucks- you just dont get it at all screw marvin gaye there I said what are you going to do about it- nothing thats what

  • marysometimes9000: lol screw Marvin Gaye, is that suppose to make me mad??

ur the one that doesn't get it, I would squash the whole thing if WE-tarts like u would just let it go. I only come her to defend my point the garbage u fags bitch about.

But naw, i have to be an asshole because im telling the truth? "DaaassPraatt", the word is "desperate".

  • How can mike patton be a wannabe of someone who started in music much time later?

You're right in something, I don't get it.

  • You cant really call someone for saying stuff in a different way, especially considering you seem completely incapable of typing.

  • Comment removed

  • marysometimes9000 - i just explain to ur dumb ass what i was talking about, cant u read?

tell this wack ass "Peeping Tom" not to butcher a classic r&b song,

  • i told u what i was talking bout bitch, cant u read

  • You're not too literate yourself, cretin.

  • You're not too literate yourself, cretin. Take a few English classes.

  • yeah I can read can you spell you worthless fucking pig

  • ....it pisses me off. Just like alanis morissette, she has a good singing voice, BUT she wines like cat. to me that throws the whole song off to me if ppl cant sing straight up. This Tom guy didn't sing straight up to me, or better yet, can any one person say he sung this song with some soul?

This guy can learn alot from Michael McDonald.

and if he is such a musical genius, how come i never heard of him? and if he is such a musical genius Y doesn't he know to sing a classic R&B song with soul?

  • If you're curious about why he's not vulnerable and soulful, check out some of the bands he developed his style in:

    FNM watch?v=xJAX_JSe9Wk

    Mr. Bungle watch?v=ZAOk69ZvbPs

    Fantomas watch?v=vfoLMVEf3M8 (my fave)

Vulnerability is great but it takes all kinds...

  • ok so your saying because you havent heard of him hes not good right? what about people like the jonas brothers they fuckin suck yet they manage to sell out

  • u got a point. just cause u never heard of someone dont mean they dont have talent. Hell u probably never heard of me, and ppl tell me all the time that i have talent.

Still this is a very bad cover. not worthy of any praise.

  • fucking crazy genius!!!

  • fuck yeh!

  • good cover

  • Comment removed

  • yeah i really hope they put out a live recording of this

  • alguien me puede decir donde puedo decargar un disco de esta genial banda de mike patton por favor, he buscado por todos lados y no encuentro, gracias

  • es genial este loco lindo

  • Go Rahzel, go! I dunno why, but I laughed so hard at this part. This song should be on their album! It's great.

  • Maybe because Rahzel goes nowhere in that part. His mic is off.

  • I love this song too! The only thing that couldve made it better, was if Rahzel's mic was working! I cant believe it took them so long for them to fix it! But yeah I hope they release this too, and I hope they tour back to Australia soon aswell!!

PS- What was wrong with Mike that made them cancel their tour from last year??

  • Anyone who insists on comparing the amazing Mike Patton to Anthony Kiedis must be on crack.

Listen to this man. Anthony wishes he could sound like that. Mike can sing anything he damn pleases and guess what? It sounds fucking amazing.

  • patton is the love child of quincy jones and frank zappa.

  • i love this song..

anyone knows when they are going to release it?

  • Can anyone explain as to why all his covers are motown song? This is a Marvin Gaye song , Across 110th street is Bobby Womack and Easy (Faith no more days) is the Commodores, weird

  • Because he's the only man who can do those songs justice.

  • he did a movie soundtrack album cover as well with Fantomas..the man knows how to cover the good stuff...damn, still a great version

  • hmm, This was awesome! chill!

  • baby patton doesnt tour... he hasnt been here in chile for 13 years... fucker...

  • This is my favorite track off the demo, I hope it gets released some day

  • BRING ON THE SOUL BROTHA!!

  • someone tell mike patton to make a tour stop in winnipeg canada

  • Ontario then after

  • peeping tom better get their asses to the uk now..

  • I'm going to see Peeping Tom live!!! :) by the end of the summer, can't wait!

  • I cannot believe it! It's cancelled :( for the second time. It's said to be cancelled due to Mike's health problems. :(

  • omgsh! whats wrong with mike?

  • I read in an article that he had surgery on his leg.

  • What kind a surgery? I saw him in an interview with Pigeon John and Mike seemed like his in pain or something he massaged his leg.

  • Me three! LOL! SWEET!

  • Me too! I so want this concert, it's the best Peeping Tom footage out there.

  • I want this full concert, great sound and quality, bad micro for Rahzel =D but incredible record

  • omg me too! :O

  • Well you must the second favorite person here...off course first being patton. My name is Biljana and I live in this fucked up country where i think that Im the only person alive knowing about this badass m.f. which makes it hard to find anything live from Patton.Would you be a darling and make one girl very happy?
