All Else Failed is a great album, and is still one of my favorites of all that I own. They may not carry the "Christian band" label anymore, but you can still see the attitude, and the walk in the ones that are still rooted in it... I'm not a super christian myself, but I did notice that when the band changed... so did the following they once had. Hope they're still doing well.

but since you seem to know nothing about the genre, i just thought i'd let you know that Dan Weyandt, the vocalist in this video, has been doing vocals like that for over 10 years and can still speak and scream fine. The technique that vocalists use to perform this style of music does not harm the voice box unless it is done improperly.

Songs like "Lies of Serpents..." have addressed this from the beginning of the band's present incarnation. It's always funny to me when the more fundamentalist type kids will cite "Blood & Fire" or "Liberate" as touchstone albums and yet act surprised that we do not endorse the more extremist elements of the church.

Dan isn't losing his voice. People keep thinking he is ever since the release of 'The Fear..' He isn't losing his voice at all. The reason his voice sounds different on 'The Fear' is because he recorded through a hand held microphone through an amplifier to simulate an overdriven PA at a small club show. See on 'The Fear' Zao wanted to get a closer taste at what they sound like live. And Dan recorded his vocals the way hes been wanting to.

The reason his voice sound different is not because he is losing it but because they recorded his vocals in a very different fashion and also he wanted to focus on the lower end of his range. It is actually really interesting how they recorded the whole album with Steve Albini, I would definitely recommend looking it up if you are at all into recording.

Dan did vomit from screaming early on but changed his vocal style to prevent that long ago, way before this video.
