funny how most big name PLers do heavy ab work. Weighted situps, pulldown abs, weighted side bends etc. Louie Simmons and the westside guys, most guys over on Elitefts, mark bell's supertraining gym etc all use weighted ab work to assist!
@EliteExtra Agree, that said we aren't powerlifters broski. I'd rather program in Strongman events in the time slot they would do ab work. Take a look at how Matt Wenning does his ab work.
@pumping9702 not mandler, but deadlifts and lots of them. do 5 sets of 10 with moderate weight after your heavy deads, built up my back and traps big time. Example: Konstantinov.
@pumping9702 Also one of the best are olympic lifts. The constant shrug up over and over works the traps well. The best part is because there is no eccentric you have less to recover from. A great quick blast is to start adding a heavy set of 5x3 before your workout (this will also spark your CNS which will improve your next main lift) then the next day you can take 60% of what you did the day before and do a density workout for 15 mins. You will do 3 reps for as many sets as you can get in time
