1962. Shelleys Mannehole on Cahuenga a jazz club in Hollywood. I'm 20 years old, and I don't know shit. I'm listening to this. I grew up in a heartbeat. This is what it is. I can't even explain the beauty and shadow that changed my life and identity as to what I thought about the longing and weft of my life. This music made grow up. I'm forever grateful. Thanks Bill, and Larry Bunker, Joe Maini, and the rest.
Thank you for sharing your memories :). I wanted to listen to this song because one of my favorite albums from my semester in "Jazz and Popular Music in America" was Undercurrent with bill evans and jim hall. Only pop we listened to was the first 6 seconds of billie jean so we could notice the difference in the beat from pop to jazz. My teacher is still a genius :)!
you're my God, Bill. RIP.

The song title is an anagram; rearrange the letters to spell: "Orrin Keepnews" --his producer.

This song reminds me of driving with my windows down on the Brooklyn Queens Expressway in really heavy traffic on a super muggy/humid summer day.
Beautiful musical chemistry between this trio. There's no way this can't touch your soul.
