This would be nice to get into. Got my NIMS certification in CNC Milling Level 1 couple of months ago.. it'd sure be cool to get to do engine work like this!
how th eFUK (stupid RETARD) i know that I DIDNTKNOW HEUSINGdome piston U probably know that if u dont know that SO U R the RETARD!!!stupi mipece of U KNOW THE REST
Ive noticed that although the combustion chamber has been matched with the size of the 90mm piston, the squish area has also been machined off to a bowl shape, which to my understanding, should be more prone to detonation.
We have only seen this part of a process, so I would assume they would have rewelded the squish area and remachine it again.
I would run a destroked 83-84mm to reduce piston speeds and increase rod length to reduce side loading on the pistons..just my food for thought:)
In case of a stock SR, the stroke of the piston is 86mm but ive heard that if you bore it to 90mm it gives you 2.2 liters, im not sure if its true but thats what I heard, I wonder how it would be called SR22VE?
well already read the maximum boost but doesnt have much on combustion chamber mods, so I downloaded :
Internal combustion engine fundamentals- Jhon B. Heywood which is far from fundamental trust me, its used in mechanics engineering carrer at MIT, its really lenghty too but the best IMO.
The reason for this is to almost eliminate the ability of detonation. also increases volume in the combustion chamber. It serves as another purpose also.
it would only make sense to do this if they were gonna use a longer stroke crank....because it would increase the compression RATIO. what other reason would u do it for??
the point is if you r boaring your block to 90mm why not bore the head to 90 its called matching its like porting your head and not porting the gasket to match it feel me
Does this retain the factory pentroof design or is it a their own design?

i want this done to my head , the block is all nice and clean lol. but sadly i can afford it right now. maybe later on.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
R u gonna run a turbo?cause this stupid is increasing the COMP ratio making this gain of chamber,

yep mine is bored out to a 90mm which makes ita 2.2 liter. sr22det baby

and whats the point of increasing the squish volume??
