i think these 4 cyl's are cool as hell and thats coming from a chevy guy. everybody has what they like, and yes its much easer to put a v8 in somthing had have it do 10 sec's. total respect to you guys getting 1k hp out of a 4cyl, and putting it all on the ground with fwd, thats a total battle. at least with rwd the weight transfer halps it hook up. every person has their likes and dislikes, so quid hating on everybody elses car.

What I find funny is all the honda guys talking like a 10 second civic is the end all be all car that other V8's are struggling to keep up with. False. Sleds (foxbody 5.0's) run 8's all day on track days and they're still very street drivable. The only way you're getting one of your little civics to run 8's is to gut everything, buy the biggest turbo you can find, and run nitromethane (not nitrous you idiot) like a funny car. There's a reason Top Fuel dragsters don't come in a 4banger flavor.

The sound of the roar is clearly ALL MOTOR. No turbo is involved in this. I like import cars such as civics, but this video doesn't prove anything. I'm not really for muscle cars or import cars, just simply stating that if you have the money, you can pretty much make any car go fast, even if it's a 4 cylinder. That's what people don't get, Import Haters, Muscle car haters, it really all come downs to how much time you put in it and if you're loaded with money.

And thats a regular k20 TypeR engine with a good build and a really lightweight clutch and a big exhaust system thats why it sounds mean revs quick and breaths deep.

vtec gives really no gain to a race only car if this typeR just killed the vtec and put in stage3 cams it could give him fraction of a second buy cutting low end traction problems and adding more to the top end, sure thats a street car to and thats were vtec comes in handy only for idle on a car like this otherwise its pointless.

@CasterTown the point of V8 is that it will last a lot longer, cause it's 1.6 engine block cant make it for a longer periods of time, it will overheat explode i dunno what will happen, but the 6 liter v8 can easily go up to 800+ horses only problem is weight, so it's up to you, will you kill loads of civic engine or live happy with V8
