In animal rescue, we get animals from testing labs sometimes, and it's HORRIBLE. They're right; animals are different from us, so how is this really useful? Especially since only 6% of it is for medical purposes.

You can write your local senators to make Animal Rights an important issue in Washington, you can donate and volunteer at your local animal shelters, you can also protest animal abuse (PETA is a great network to start a protest with other people in your area.) idakusan, i have just read your comments for the first time and i have to tell you that they sicken me!. when all of this is over,and a new culture is sifting through our remains, what will they think of us?.all of this may have been needed at one time but certainly not now. there are numerous other ways to perform medical and cosmetic testing that don't include animals. do some research.

-Cancer of a dog is not cancer of a human, how do you know if these cures work on humans why you have to do what with them, oh yeah "test" on the humans. Take out the animals and test on humans that know the risk, just because you spend millions of dollars on animal testing for a "cure" it isn't a guarantee that'll work on any humans.

So very sad but, very truthful video! Just wanted to let you know, I worked at the Sheriff's Office and we arrested a man who drug his horse behind his truck until it was dead because is was getting loose all the time and sit his pitbulls on fire for getting in the trash and 2 days later the inmates found out what he did and beat him almost to death, so sometimes they do get whats coming to them. And I sure din't cry about it I wish I could have said good job to the inmates!!

If an animal feels pain, which is does, then of course its wrong to inflict those things on them. Chimps are so closely related to humans its unreal and yet theyre tested on. They may not be a as smart as us, but does that mean someone who is mentally retarded does not have as much of a right to live?

Toxicity tests should not EVER be performed on animals -- they are no indication of ANYTHING! Animals as similar as mice and rats often react differently to the same substance! There IS some testing that I feel does more good than harm overall, but I still think there should be stricter ordinances on care and pain control.

Love your idea. Well, we ARE unique animals, but still, we are animals. Some of us apparently don't have souls, since we are perfectly fine with torturing animals.
