I like that, we'll be using the sun in the same way as oil LMAO
End of the day we will all be dead before the sun swells to a red giant and if we're not we sure will be then. The sun is the way to go. Plants have been using the sun to create energy for billions of years so we should learn from that.
Also does anyone know what happens to the oil in the ground during subduction and if not how do we know it aint an important part of plate tectonics or something else we have yet to understand??
So, are you going to show how to put a quality reflective surface on a fiberglass parabolic dish? (I'm not finding your video that you talked about on this one).
For your large satellite dish, have you considered doing a simple vacuum mold for each segment. Seems that it would be an easier method. If so, how direct would the parabolic need to be at that size to run a stirling engine modified to a generator for charging deep cycle batteries? Sorry, late at night so my green mind always wakes up. lol.
With the risk of sounding stupid and Being Abused, I was wondering would it be possible to build something onto one of these mirrors to track the suns course Or is that too complex.
Free energy technology exists! But the Big corporations spend millions to ensure that information does not spread to the masses,Check this free energy magnet motor at LT-MAGNET-MOTORdotCOM ,Be part of the revolution!
Hi , very good, I have saw almost all your videos. It is very interesting!!
I want to try with this Parabolic dish mirror!
Please could you tell me exactly what kind of paper it is needed, I heard they are two king of papel: Mirror paper isnt it? And a thinner papel. Here we have this paper for kitchen or cooking purposes is it that???
tbg:whether you use the sunshine that strikes the earth, or let it just shine on the dirt, has no impact on the energy the sun puts out or puts out in the future. what matters siswhat we do with the heat before is just averages out into the earth/atmosphere. as long as it;s going to dissapate, why not let it do something useful for us before it does. all winners, nothing lost.
I keep thinking if there is a fairly easy way of generating electricity or hydrogen from a dish like this. Imagine a plastic parabolic dish coated in chrome paint or something that cost very little money, even if it generated little power we could make trillions of these and they would end up paying for themselves giving us free energy .
I know it is hard to use solar for base power but storage tech is improving as we speak too!
Hey Dan - As to your reference to WIFI antenna usage there was a group of HAM radio operators in Nevada that conducted a test using 2 - 10 foot dishes and they hooked up cordless phones to them. In their test they were able to communicate at a distance of 125 miles. They were on hill tops one in Las Vegas the other in the SW corner of Colorado as I recall. Not too shabby! I barely get my cell phone to connect with the local cell site 6.5 miles away!

Why do people keep calling solar energy "renewable"? It's not. The sun is not infinite, and will not run forever. When oil was first discovered we made this mistake of using it like it would run out, and now we're going to use the sun the same way? Why cant we learn from the past!
@TheBetterGame The harnessing of the suns energy does significantly nothing on the rate of its energy release. IMO, due to the amount of energy yet to be released by the sun it is virtually limitless.
@TheBetterGame as long as we are alive the sun will always be here, the sun is always burning, and it is us who turn the suns energy into energy we can use, we cant use up the sun.
@TheBetterGame Dude your argument is just as dumb, it IS infinite for as long as we are in the game. By the time the sun is of no use we will have much bigger problems so "My hair is a bird, your argument is invalid"
@TheBetterGame Hey thanks for your reply, hasty writing like we do on these comments takes a lot of emotion OUT of communication so it is quite easy to misunderstand someone. I am glad I was wrong about your opinion :)
@TheBetterGame ok, you missed the point. I agree that the sun is not renewable but, your comment, no offense, is actually kind of dumb and illogical. if we use it or not its energy is out there so I think it is better to use it than not to use it. Second, it is not like we are taking pieces of the sun and transform them into gas or something. It can´t be compared because it is just no the same process.

Hello Dan, the only thing is that these are all toys, you have not shown a working power generation for a house yet, you probally still get electricity from Edison.
Yes, thank you, I will give you a reply today, sorry for the delay, worked on youtube home page art most of the day. I did read and it is very interesting.
Did you use to go on otherpower's discussion board a few years ago? Anyway I want to see you make a solar ice maker, using amonia evaporation and a half pipe mirror
Build many of these parabolics use a good metal holder in the focal point place your true glass fiber optic cable and you will have a extremely powerful light I don't know if you would call it a lazer but it would be able to set what you touch it to on fire. Depending how well cable handles refraction is how many dishes you can use. Amount of dishes will determine power. Guaranteed to cook w/ pressure cooker from bottom. Might be the answer to your solar engine. Build some solar trackers plse .
Yes, the focal point is a bit long, but it works. You can take two dishes 50 feet a part and talk softly into one. Another person can hear what you are saying clearly on the other end.
Also, all this time so far I thought that a satelitte dish was a parabolic shape but it isn't a true shape not enough curve like what you've got there. I bought a squirrel barrier that it hung over a bird feeder and lined that with mylar and it burns but not like yours. A few wrinkles that I learned how to get rid of most of them when gluing down the mlyar. Its tricky with thin mylar. anyway, thats moreso the parabolic shape.
What dish did you use for a mold. Please do a video, it would be neat to see.Satellite dishes are parabolic but shaping like a lens is better. Some solar bowl cookers over do the shape and make it almost a half a ball. This works but only 60% is active. For mirroring without wrinkles, cut into strips and apply across the shape. Pie cutting works, but strips are much easier. I will have links to the materials for lining on my website in a few days, it is pretty cost effective.
I used a dish network satellite dish 18 in x 20 1/2 but my plexiglas was only 15 3/4 x 19 1/4 inches cause I didn't have the big enough piece of plexiglas a mistake should have bought a large enough piece was anxious to do this.
Hello, To get the mylar to go wrinkle free I saw a website once where they held the mylar around the edges and had a small hole in the dish and sucked the air out which sucked the mylar film down evenly and taunt Don't forget to pre aplly the glue. Great videos by the way. Thanks.
I just made a small parabolic shape from a satelitte dish 18 inches and cast a plexiglass shape of it minus a small area piece wasnt large enough from watching your video on how to shape a parbolic from the glass cover. Anyway mirrored it with a cut up mirror in different shapes together, and it sets stuff burning. Measured 530 degrees with oven themometer this afternoon. Its hot. maybe put up a vid of it in future.
what kind of adhesive reflector did you use? i was thinking about using mylar, but i didn't want to go through the hassle of vacuum bagging. and how did you cast the fiberglass paraboloid?
The material is an adhesive vinyl, buy there is better stuff out there, the shape was first cast out of concrete then molded to fiberglass. Next weeks video will have all the info. Mylar is to random for concentrating. I have 3 reflective materials I will be sharing. They are excellent.
I want real results from you! I want to see you generating electricity with those parabolic mirrors. Hook up that cute steam engine you have to one of those disassembled drills you showed in another video.

I have been trying to make some and have come close. Your comments are always welcome here and please keep the ideas flowing. Thank you for watching and the comments. GreenPowerScience
