Beautiful art! I wonder if you use any specific kind of paper? Also if there is any specific brushes/ink you would recommend for beginners?

Hello Nina (Zooetii) san, こちらこそ、はじめまして。"Kochira koso, hajime mashite (Nice to meet you too in Japanese):-)" It's wonderful to hear from you:-) I'm happy to know that you like my video, thank you:-) The paper which I usually use and also used in this video is called 色紙 "Shikishi (a square piece of fancy Japanese paper):-) Also any kind of 和紙 "Washi (Japanese paper)" is good:-) If you're not used to use a brush for Ink & Wash paintings yet, it's good to practice with a watercolor brush:-)

Brush has different sizes, so I recommend you to choose the brush which can fit on your hand nicely:-) I usually use a middle size brush which I can draw both thin and thick lines:-) Just like waterclors brushes, it's useful to have different size brushes for different purposes:-) For example, I sometimes use thinner brush for more details like writing the date and the name and for details works:-) I usually use a middle size brush for all works:-) To me, importance is comfortableness:-)

I originally made this video to my friends who are interested in Japanese culture and art, and in this video, I used the Japanese brush called the Pentel brush "Tsumiho!" I also use different brushes! I visited your page, and it looks like you also like art!
