i use tabs and u tube vids to learn, i can usually get the main riff of a song in an hour or two, takes a few weeks to actually sound decent, i thought i was just slow,

@salparadise53 naw, that sounds about right. some will come easier than others. some i can get down in less than an hour, somethings i cant play at all because its too advanced. beyond my skill set.

@salparadise53 no, but i started with van halen without knowing how to do anything really. theres some songs im still trying to learn how to play ive been working on for a long time. most tunes i can figure out in a hour or two and to play it well, maybe a week of practice.

@MrBIOSkunk naw, that's just when you've convinced someone you know what your doing when you really don't. most of the time, it's an act that your a bad ass. if it wasn't then why do these guitars practice so much? but one thing is for sure, you're right about learning a song. there is always room for improvement.
