@stangfreakforever You are right that Lightning audio is made by Fosgate. Although this sub was made by Thillo Stompler (TC Sounds) and was re-badged for Fosgate. This is actually a TC Sounds TC3000 sub.

Actually the noise you are hearing is the port and air. I never let it bottom out or heard any suspension noise. The box is tuned to 35hz, so under that you will hear the air etc.... At half excursion it is basically silent.

Is there a lot of suspension noise at half excursion or is it quiet? Obviously in the video you were pushing it all the way so it was making a lot of noise so while it was only moving at 20Hz or 10Hz, it was still producing other frequencies.

Gotta Love that Aggressive Tc Sounds style surround with the excursion looks like it could break your hand if you touched it

@76dced yeah u never really know who built what these days. My dvd burner is a Sony, and I needed a firmware update for it. It turns out it was made for them by Lite on, their competitor.

@76dced Yeah for the most part they are. I know Thilo Stompler personally, and know for a fact he designed and made this sub (as an oem) for lightining audio (owned by Fosgate). According to Thillo this is the same motor and coil as the TC 3000.

awesome excursion i may be trading my sub for one of these. u think it can take 1500wrms daily and last 6 months at least?

@K1LLABriAnN Hi, they can take 1500 rms all day as long as you are running clean unclipped power, meaning that you have an amp that has clean output measured with dmm and battery power is sufficient. I ran mine in my car on a 4KW amp for 6 months or so being careful with it.

TC Sounds makes and made drivers for many respected brands, they used to make drivers for SVS subs,thanks to TC Sounds the world of subwoofers is alot more competitive today.

I have lots of subs, none can do what this one can do though. I have CSS SDX 15" sub I have Crystal mobile Sounds CMP X2 15" eD spv.3 15" and 190v.2 I have Cerwin Vega's and Orions. In this video I was pushing this sub with one channel of a Crest Audio CD2000 amp, so I was pushing somewhere around 1000 to it below the tuning frequency of the box.

Actually this is a Lightning Audio sub made by Tc sounds. Actually Lightning is Fosgates lower end line, and they wanted to have something to make them look as good as the rest (if not better) than the rest of the main stream subs out there. It isnt made anymore unfortunately. Im not sure how much these were going for when they were in production. I traded my 10" revo for this one off a forum. I talked to Thilo of Audiopulse -TC sounds and he told me the specs were the same as the Axis sub.
