i went to ethiopia last year and it was great but i felt sorry for all the poor people. Some have diseases,no shelter, no food. In some places u have to take a shower and use the bathrooms in the same place.U should see the water-its very bad for people who's not adapted to that kind of environment. U should see me. i have a bunch of scars all over me because i went there but it was worth going there.

This is so rediculous. I have personally volunteered at this "Hope for meal" foundation place while is Ethiopia.
And making it an effort to gather a few of these street children and taking them to lunch in good restaurants and they can eat as much as they want and carry some out for their friends and family.
Other Ethiopians just do not give a damn.. just thinking about their own selfish interests. Some go as far as beating or abusing the street children when they approach them for help.

@jahlionpr The movie, "Pursuit of Happyness" shows that even if you are homeless in America with a small child, you can still make it if you have a plan, you are intelligent and you pull yourself together. Even then it was very difficult. In some places it doesn't matter how smart you are. There is more prejudice and it's harder to get off the street. Even on this site people argue about the children's tribes instead of saying, "My God, how can I help them?"

America is supposed to be the land of opportunity, while the homeless people in other countries run into dead ends. The U.S. doesn't have extreme poverty, at least not as widespread as some of those other countries.

i went to ethiopia last year and it was great but i felt sorry for all the poor people. Some have diseases,no shelter, no food. In some places u have to take a shower and use the bathrooms in the same place.U should see the water-its very bad for people who's not adapted to that kind of environment. This is so rediculous. I have personally volunteered at this "Hope for meal" foundation place while is Ethiopia.
And making it an effort to gather a few of these street children and taking them to lunch in good restaurants and they can eat as much as they want and carry some out for their friends and family.
Other Ethiopians just do not give a damn.. just thinking about their own selfish interests. Some go as far as beating or abusing the street children when they approach them for help.

There might be poverty in America, but travel the world and you'll see that the poverty abroad is a completely different ball game my friend. Plus, America's population is more than three times that of Ethiopia's, if you were to break it down, Ethiopia has way more homeless people on average than America, by far, even though it is a much smaller country.

Even then it was very difficult. In some places it doesn't matter how smart you are. There is more prejudice and it's harder to get off the street. Even on this site people argue about the children's tribes instead of saying, "My God, how can I help them?"
