  • is this the original? did she write this song? because of both the Guinness commercial and Captain Morgan commercials, a man sings this song

  • too happy.... i love bands that make covers their own, but this is too circus like... too 80's.

  • expressionnist and Man Ray hommage

  • the coiotesanguinario procure se informar antes de falar besteira, o Capital fez uma versão dessa música, que por sinal foi grande sucesso nos anos 80.Como poderiam imitar o Capital??

  • @libsRturds L-O-L Siouxsie is fucking gorgeous.

  • @twopure YOU ARE MORE RIGHT THAN YOU KNOW

  • @harajukutown528

    Yeah no kidding!

  • Iggy Pop is better

  • @harajukutown528 Not garbage, a fucked shit

  • It can't bee much better !

  • why the fuck do people write about how their music was great and todays music is crap? There are plenty of great and poor tracks being realeased today, and I'm sure it was the exact same situation back in the 80s :/

  • @sayno2lolzisback Back in the 80s they didn't have garage band on imacs so the shit music didn't get out as much.

  • @sayno2lolzisback

No actually pretty much everything today is crap.

  • @johnnyphoenix74 i dont care

  • @sayno2lolzisback

It has to do with which bands are popular. We have great music today, but none of it is being played on the radio. Yes, they did have crap in the 80's, but if you're a rock/new wave/punk/ lover you could turn on the t.v. and maybe see something you'd potentially like. We do have some good music that is popular, but there are very few popular contemporary bands that are actually good. Lets be honest the best music is usually underground.

  • And this Siouxsie And The Banshees song is not one of their best. They have way better tracks that are just probably more obscure. It's kinda like how The Clash are really fucking awesome, but their big hit was Rock the Casbah.

  • @TheBeeHum Yeah I understand completely, you have big record companies paying radio stations to play music that has been written specifically for it to become mainstream. Mainstream musicians and singers make a mint from record deals and sell out tours, people who dare to be different go underground and barely get noticed!

  • @TheBeeHum Your last statement says it all, "the best music is usually underground"! That goes for then, and it goes for now.

  • @sayno2lolzisback

I've been watching Top of the Pops 2976 on BBC Four. While there was some great tunes in the 70s there was a lot of crap. We just hear the good stuff these days for the old decades. Wait for about 30 years and all we'll hear the good stuff now and complain how there isn't any good music anymore. Problem as I get older though is that I like less and less of the music at the mo.

  • 16 people r driving

  • great cover of this

  • She is soo talented

  • I love her so much!

  • I want to be a passenger, so I have to move to a state and city where they have a bus down her in the south. I was thinking Jacksonville, FL

  • @TheBigdrob1

I would like to be a passenger to times when all these songs were a common affair. So take me back to those eighties please to enjoy that musical celebration!

  • What an awesome song and music video!

  • BOYCOT VEVO !

  • Going to an alternative record shop back in the '80s was rather like going to a great candy store....ska, rockabilly, hardcore...so many records, so little money.

  • @harajukutown528 check out alice practice by christal castles...should do the job :-D

  • How does a guy that likes stormfront gets thumbs up? somethings wrong here :/

  • come on now ALL music nowadays isnt garbage, dubstep is fuckin awesome so is Good goth and techno...

  • I am Passenger, I use bus

    ,

  • I am Passenger, I use bus,

  • @MrJimmypage32 buswanker

  • @MrJimmypage32 I agree with what your saying. But the thing is music is so emotive and it reminds you of the times long ago when you where doing stuff. Yes there was lots of crap music years ago too! as there is today!! : )

  • It's the best cover of all times.

  • Check out Cities in Dust too..awesome song by them too!

  • @harajukutown528 seems so many of today's youth feel the same. There are 80's clubs everywhere here in LA. When you think about it, what have they got

today? Katy Perry, Taylor Swift? OMG that is CRAP!! This music is legendary and so ALIVE!!! Kids are rockin' to the 70's and 80's and I get to Relive it all!

  • Better than the original. The Horns are so tight! I saw them Live in Miami at the Cameo Theater in South Beach in 1987 with Julian Cope and Midnight Oil! What a Show!!!!

  • @harajukutown528

Well, I personally like the lead singer of gar baujh. ;)

  • great music for to wax assholes with

  • The Original is wayyyyy wayyy wayyy better

  • @rattlehead177 actually this one where that is not true. this one is so ALIVE. Iggy's was okay but too long and dreary after the first few minutes! The Horn section is amazing in this version. Like Aerosmith's remake of Come Together, the cover is better than the original!

  • so shit compared to iggy pop's version

  • amo este tema

  • Siouxsie & The Banshees! Post-punk sounds great!

  • Todavía amo éste tema y éste video! Desde hace mas de veinte años...

  • Im 17 and I absolute love this band.

  • Why the hell is there a Big Time Rush commercial on this?

  • Great post-punk band

  • Love the "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari" like make up she's got on!!

  • not rick rolled woo hoo coolest drummer ever

  • la amo

  • VEVO has saved YouTube. Not only can I watch videos like this one, but I can learn more about my favorite products beforehand!!

  • @GlorifiedTruth I had to fan you for that one! How true.

  • I love how Siouxsie becomes the bass. :D

  • Way better than Mr. Pop's version. Siouxsie really takes another's song and turns it into her's. Everything in ''Through The Looking Glass'' is hers, not covers. :)

  • I seem to remember ( rightly or wrongly ) watching Siouxsie sing this at Portmerion in Wales - location of Pat McGoohan's "The Prisoner". Think it might have been part of a Jools Holland show??

  • @593OLYMPUS

It was on Channel 4s The Tube

  • I dislike the "funky" elements.

    This isn't rrrrrrrock!!!!!

  • This is not the original.

  • @peasblossom1973 no shit? i had no idea that iggy pop did this song originally...with basically an early incarnation of Tin Machine as his backing band. no clue whatsoever.

  • @twistedviewlabs

Oh no, I meant that this is not the original video Siouxie did. There's an older, and better one. Simpler, less flashy, and Siouxie is younger. I can't cut and paste here, but it's the one where she's wearing a black and white top and a leather jacket.

  • Living Siouxsie And The Banshees, long live the gothic world.

  • Living Siouxsie And The Banshees, long live the gothic world.

  • I like this as much as original!! :)

  • the original is better but it's a great cover by a great band

  • Amazing song. I do love listening to it while browsing Stormfront. :)

  • @Remorselesslymine What nickname ?

  • @Remorselesslymine I really love listening to it while keeping up with Farrakhan's Tweets

  • @Remorselesslymine Too bad Siouxsie hates skinheads.

  • i prefer the iggy pop version.... this sucks

  • @ElCuartetero47 you're nuts

  • @Daffneyfan why?

  • @ElCuartetero47 because you said this version of the song sucks. I think it's a splendid cover.

  • @Daffneyfan IS POP the other was punk... real punk

  • @ElCuartetero47 Siouxsie and the Banshees ARE punk, they just switched up their sound in the late 80's. To prevent from becoming stale, a band has to change their sound every once in awhile, and that's what they did with this song. Be thankful a band like this one made a decent cover of the classic song and not some 21st century twats like we have today.

  • @Daffneyfan ok i thnk you are right but for me now it is PUNK POP

  • Je suis d'accord avec certains!! Même si j'apprecie Siouxsie, j'aime pas cette chanson!!

  • Although I love Siouxsie dearly I really don't like this song. From that album I very much prefer "This Town Ain't Big Enough for the Both of Us", "Gun" or "Sea Breezes" and "Trust in Me" is one of the best.

  • she will be sadly missed

  • @gssg9

Siouxsie may very well make a new album in the future. Personally, I would much prefer to have some rare Banshees material officially released.

  • @VlogKing couldnt agree more. still a lot of live studio recordings and gigs that haven't been released. but as long as the record label is making more easy money from cheesed up remixes and re-released classics then sadly some of there greatest work will never be heard except through bootleg versions.

  • @gssg9

I'm not interested in remixes at all and would obviously much rather have the last 4 albums remastered, including bonus tracks, along with other rare demo and live recordings throughout the Banshees career. An example of this would be the wonderful "Rockpalast" concert recorded on 19 July 1981, with the best line up of the band. An official CD/DVD release of this gig, even though I already have a good quality bootleg DVD, would be fantastic.

  • Not to mention 2 ex members of the Banshees, way back in the '70's....Sid Vicious (Pre Sex Pistols, and Marco Pirroni (Pre Adam and the Ants)

  • I love how an advertisement for shitty music comes up before listening to this beautiful gem.

It just goes to show how music has devolved over time, and it saddens me that we probably won't be seeing another band as talented as Siouxsie and The Banshees for quite some time, if ever :/

  • @DarkLord61636 I'm starting a band soon. I'm going to put up signs all over the streets of downtown toronto looking for bandmembers... I will be the singer... we will be badass. Don't worry... musicians with actual talent will rise again.

  • whats that instrument she's playing over the bassist's back?

  • @smartphelix

The instrument that Steve Severin (bassist) simulates across Siouxsie's back is supposed to resemble a double bass.

  • @aZombiewhoatehimself

I don't think Siouxsie is Jewish. The Christmas song "Israel" was a reaction against the skinheads and public who thought they were supporting Nazi imagery. Siouxsie has said in many interviews that the Swastikas and imagery used in the punk scene were only for shock tactics.

  • reminds me of Holiday from Green Day

    "ON HOOOLLIIDAAAYYY"

  • Really intense to know that 7 years prior to this she was pioneering goth post-punk and doing stuff like Melt and Israel. What an innovative artist and what a cool remake - thanks I'm sure, in part, to the dynamic trio of bass player Steven Severin and drummer Budgie who were together with her for 20 years.

  • Siii cuanto lo disfrutamos =) amo esta versión más q nada!!!

  • Damn, what a goddess.

  • the goth rock from the 80's sounds weird but I like alot

  • ¡¡Una verdadera joyita musical, fantástica la versión de los Siouxsie and the Banshees, gracias por colgarlo, no imaginas cuánto lo disfruto, saludos y ohhhh que maravillaaaaa, muacks!!

  • Not liking the horns.

  • @TheProgSound yeah, so naff. I'm a S&Bs fan, but this cover doesn't really re-work the original or improve on it.

  • Comment removed

  • Does anyone know is she's really satanic or any of the bs other idiots are saying about her?

I'm not saying she's a perfect Christian girl, but she just doesn't seem like an antichrist person either.

    Anyone know anything about this?

  • @RecessGoodletter I think she's jewish. Not 100% sure tho

  • F5 used to skip the ads. Now the sneaky greedy fuckers just go to another ad!

    Love the song though.

  • @SheExhalesVanilla Oh come on, leave the Brit and her "Ugliest pussy in the world" out of this...

  • @SheExhalesVanilla ain't it! terrible

  • This song was a bold move by Siouxie, to depart from her trade mark Banshee sound (nothing wrong with that). Very Catchy song.

  • why are we talking about Eminem on a Siouxsie and the Banshees video? He's an alright singer, but we're here to listen to Siouxsie, not him.

  • I just love her voice, it has a nice strength to it.

  • oops! spilt red wine on sioux ...have her autograph on my waitress bill when she was with steve severin....good days in greek street

  • siouxsie sioux is one of the most classy beautiful women, anyone who thinks otherwise is confused, jealous, or a mixture of both

  • For me, it's simply the best version of the GREAT song!

  • Great, I still prefer Iggy.

  • severin...the master on bass!!!!!!!!

  • i'm pretty fuckin creeped out damn these ppl r ugly

  • @NecroPedophile408 Siouxsie Sioux is not ugly

  • @Daffneyfan No she's not. In any way shape or form.

  • Severa

  • men..may i ask something..is this the original band that plays that song or iggy pop..

  • @GouziLAnd Iggy Pop

  • @GouziLAnd Iggy released it originally in 1977 - it really stood out against the BeeGees and "Saturday Night Fever" stuff

Siouxsie did the homage/remake in 1987. If you liked Siouxsie back then, you knew that this song was Iggy's.

  • chevere

    beautifull

  • omg it's EMINEM ! lol

  • Siouxsie is great

  • SIOUXSIE ROCKS!! SHE COULD "MELT" EMINEM WITH HER INTENSE STARE! JUST 'CAUSE YOU CAN RHYME WORDS DOES NOT MAKE YOU A MUSICIAN!!!!

  • This is what raves should play.

  • god I love her voice.

  • :DDD the best song

  • Cuando sea grande quiero ser cómo esa mujer *____*

    oh my god siouxsie <3

  • one of the real versions of who lady " i want faggots to buy my music "gaga wishes she could be .

  • awesome, brings back a looot of memories...

  • Prefiero a Iggy mil veces :/

  • Siouxsie's voice sounds deeper here, like how it is on her solo album

  • ugh i hate these stupid youtube commercials...

  • old times, yea

  • Iggy´s original is excellent, but Siouxies version’s is awesome. Love the metals section incursion.

  • esta version de los 80's es buenissima...........gracias por postearla

  • Siouxsie is the shit!
