The first time I watched this I was still a little unsure of this Moriarty, but upon rewatching, I'm really sold on him. It's an intelligent, interesting take on the character, and when I really pay close attention....I can SEE the utter insanity behind Moriarty. I can really buy into him being this barking psychopath. Great acting on his part, by the whole cast really....an INFURIATING ENDING to a faaaantastic show.
WOW, I just noticed that John was blinking out SOS in morse code at the beginning of this clip. It's attention to little details like this that make me love this production of Sherlock so much! :D
Does anybody apart from me think it would be interesting if Lauren Cracy's character turned out to be Moriarty.
Moriarty: Jane Moriarty. What? Weepy Danielle from EastEnders? Oh. Did I really make such a fleeting impression? But then I suppose that was rather the point.
I'm ashamed to say I watched this at work with the headphones on. When it cut to the credits I shouted loudly 'NO!' ...my colleagues were a bit confused, then when I explained they totally understood :oD
@xxsatinangelxx I can only think Sherlock shoots the bomb. For some reason it doesn't go off immediately. All three dive into the swimming pool and swim down and away from the bomb. The bomb goes off blowing up the swimming pool, killing the riflemen (remember what a similar bomb did to the flats the old lady was in). However, Sherlock, John and Moriarty survive. Just. (Moriarty cannot be at same end of pool as S & J, as he needs to escape).
@Razieluk Yeah I know what you mean... But then again I could see the bomb being a complete fake... which would be funny!! and I think Moraity would have some wayof getting out, cuz if he's in the pool like J&S he can't escape.... either way I am sooo ANNOYED I have to wait till NEXT year :@ x
@xxsatinangelxx I have a feeling we won't be told how they escape. It will be left and then at some later date it will be shown in flash back.
Like the original Holmes and Moriarty. Conan-Doyle got fed up of writing S.H. stories so killed him off in a fight with Moriarty - they both go over the edge of a mountain pass in the Alps.
However, public outcry was such that C.D. bought S.H. back and had to come up with a plausible new ending.
@Razieluk yeah that would probably happen... to make us want to keep watching to find out what happened... tho I can't see them keeping it to themselves long or they'll get complains of not letting us know!! X
I heard he had stopped and then had to start up again!!, but I've only read some of the books and not that one lol :P X
@Razieluk Yeah I remember. He was getting abuse in every street, hate mail, that stuff just cos he killed off Sherlock. So he made another one and said that Sherlock had hidden in a cave at the bottom of the cliff.
@ghtjdjdhfjeosnvcurth Yeah but he'll hurt John and Sherlock and he probably is a fast runner with an escape root, cuz he ran out then ran back again and he wouldn't move from that door he walked in by... so it makes me think he's expecting him so do that!! so he has a way of getting out fast and quick... but then again Im also expecting him to know what Sherlock wasnt John to do, so he proabably knows they'll survive anyways :S x
Moriarty is hilarious! Possibly my favorite villain!
