@TheatreGuy141 - I have no idea what you're talking about. The gal playing Kim was absolutely equal to the girl playing Ellen. Neither of them is a polished actress, but their voices are equally strong. In fact I'm not sure why Ellen kept turning the word "I" into two syllables, or why her vocal coach didn't correct it. Tough to listen to.

i have seen the Manila production,, the most expensive production of Miss Saigon,...its fantastic,,,, but for a high school to do such brilliant production,,, it was great , i cant believe they are high school,,, no comparison on the broadway/london/manila production,,, very impressive for High school level...

The voices are lovely, but I don't think they understand the true meaning of this song. It is a very strong song between 2 girls in love with the same man at different times ( but apart) one doesn't know where her love is, and the other doesn't know why her love is dreaming what he does, and 'doesn't know why he is dreaming the way he does. This would have been absolutely GORGEOUS if the orchestra was in tune. You can tell the singers are very talented because they kept the right pitch while the violins disagreed by up to a half step sharp or flat, depending.

Although the young lady on this video was pretty good playing as Kim and showed very great potential, Lea Salonga is still considered the original and best Kim ever, having won the Tony, Laurence Olivier, Drama Deak, Outer Critics Circle, and Theatre World Awards for the same role that she was born to play. The Miss Saigon performances here were excellent for a high school production and the girl who played Kim reminds me so much of Lea 20 years ago.
