@katandann concentration and effort. to play this well it is not only the technique, it is also the ability to live through the song as you play. Mechanical pressing of the keys will not produce great sound. I am just judging from my experience, I have learnt "fur elise" recently, and I now am struggling to get the correct mood to play this song well.

I humbly suggest that you explore his works for the piano further, assuming that you have not yet done so- you would be amazed. This is merely a small piece, I doubt if Beethoven himself ever remembered writing it. There are many types of music that rival classical music in many ways, just not pertaining to the same style. Try listening to Progressive music, the usage of time signatures and technicality of the instruments rivals that of classical and includes more than one instrument, thus making it more complex to write for than that of just a piano.

Yes classical music is amazing but get over yourself.
