  • thanks for the tips!I've had a wrier's block latly,u helped me out:)

  • is it me or does everyone want to be a writer/?

I've wanted to be a writer for so long (6/7 years) but haven't written one story.

I think I should write a book before I die, thinking about something for so long is not normal right?

    How did you start?

  • @auag19 It does seem like that, but there are not a lot of people that have the patience for it. The way I start was just typing out my thoughts. Granted, I was 13 when I started, but it's never too late!

  • @Taybrian1 I 've been thinking about it lately and I think I'll give writing a shot. Sometimes I feel like writhing down my thoughts so that they can stop bothering me. It's much better than telling people what you feel (mostly about other people) because when the situation changes, they see you as a hypocrite.

  • Yea i have Gotten out there on Fanfiction my penname is Chipmunkfanatic you can find me there I have got two Storeies out there right now and belive me one of them is like 20 chapters long and the othe is like 34 Chapters long . The only way i can get my work out there is useing Auto Spell check on Open office that way i dont mess up . So yea I do my Best to try and not mess up . Any way thou Im Currently working on my Second Book Life of a rockstar chipmunk

  • Everyone here obviously wants to be a writer or do something with writing therefore you should ALL watch Californication. It's not for everyone especially younger people but its a good laugh and it's about this writer that got a good reputation and how it all went down its great.

  • thank you ... u inspired me !

  • hey there! thxs fer the tips! i do watch cartoons and all, bring a notebook. and there were several times when i was in the toilet and ideas just pops out in my head.

    and again, THANKS A LOT~!! (=

  • Good advice :) Thanks so much.

  • Hei! I loved your tips! I'm a writer too, just startin actualy and I'd really like if we could talk . Can you please send me your mail adress? I have some stories and i would really like if you could check them out.

  • I share the information on my channel that helped me become a published author. Go to my playlist and search for writing vids.

  • I really loved this. I'm not embarrassed to talk about issues or put my characters into positions that are awkward and what not because that's what we all want to know --- that we're all human and that other people think about this. I hate when people take critiques personally to. I critiqued this girl's work, and she literally blocked me. It was depressing. My trouble spot is proofreading too. Hate it. Grammar sucks too.

  • Very nice! Thanks

  • you look just like my science teacher ms.ambos!! thx 4 the tips!!

  • I hope that's a good thing. LOL!

  • Thank you.

  • awsome video. :) i love writing fanfiction.

  • Very educational. Got a kick out of the ending. The music was Daftpunk correct?

  • no, no, porno is actually about half useful at most.

I mean, well, not for FanFiction

...and that was not meant to be a immature comment either.

aniway i didnt even know they had videos like this on uTuBe, i feel like im finally finding a niche.

    toodles...

  • good tips cheers!

  • thank you... will read more books for sure.. :) finished harry potter 1-7 too, and others like Eragon and Eldest by Paolini. Thank you again!

  • That can be a little tricky. I say that you should try to make sure it sounds natural. You don't want your characters saying something that doesn't feel real. Try listening to others talk and write down their conversations. It really does help.

  • I've got a question: In my Creative Writing Class in Junior High I was considered one of the best writers in that class in terms of plot and creativity; however my spelling and grammer is horrid up to this date. Any tips for learning how to spell?

  • Thanks for watching. If you are having a spelling and grammar problem, (which is normal,) you should consider using a proofreader. If it's an assignment that you can't use one because it's in class, pick through your own work with a fine toothed comb. If all else fails, it's not shameful to get tutoring. I did, and it helps a lot.

  • Fanfiction can also lead to craziness. I carry around two notebooks, one for fanfiction and the other is for original fiction.

Writing can lead to craziness. And it's a pain to get that idea down when I'm at work. I'm also trying to get a hold of something to use to record myself. So then I can really hang on to the idea.

  • Thanks for this video. I'm an aspiring writer, and I always find it so hard to not only get started, but also finish. And even starting anything is too little for someone that wants to write. Thanks for the tips, again!

  • Ok, I got a critique on a story that I posted on gaia, I sadly didn't proof read it, and I got slammed for grammer, when I wanted my story critiqued not my english. I was insulted, but I will take to heart all that you have said thank you very much.

  • Great tips! As an aspiring writer, I'm learning that "watch and listen" is as useful as "read read read". As writers, we have to study and adapt what we find in real life. YouTube can be a great tool for that. It's chock full of muses waiting to inspire you. I think your video will inspire people to become more active readers and writers, and that's a very good thing. Best wishes.

  • great video

  • Thank you.
