according to sammy hagars book which I'm reading now, this concert DVD was totally re recorded in the studio. apparently eddie was out of tune the whole night...sammy was singing in tune to match eddie, so when eddie wanted to re do his guitar parts...they noticed now..sammy wasnt in key to the fixed guitar part so he had to come in and re sing it the whole concert over. he said it took him 3 hours.

@glennjridge I was at this concert..one of the shows anyway....and they sounded great. Sounded way better than with DLR. Don't get me wrong, I love both era's of VH, but with Sammy VH sounded great live at least this show and one I caught on the F.U.C.K tour. I don't have Sammy's book, haven't read it yet.....but this show from Toronto was a tv PPV event, later broadcasted on Canada's MuchMusic. You sure Sammy is talking about this or the Live RightHereRightNow cd and dvd?

He explained that with Sammy, Eddie had a whole new world of melodic possibilities, direction and inspiration because of the different voice that Sammy has, maybe the explanation for your observations lies somewhere within that different chemistry. I am so, so glad that i got to see Van Hagar when they suppported Bon Jovi in England back in 95, I caught an EVH pick!!
