if it wasnt for these new OS systems eating up ur memory and hd space and all the UPDATES windows keep piling on you, those old computers would be fine! I once lost 4 gigs of HD space to one round of WIndows Updates! ;-( GRrr

I guess people are just too lazy (or too busy) to drop their old electronics off at these ewaste depots. I just dropped mine off a couple days ago here in Toronto, and it felt good to make more space in my basement. :)

@ranchy888 We don't have a one here in south georgia, but I have a old commodore64 with 1541 disk drive and it still works, my dad gave me his old pentium II pc, still works, so anyways I guess I will hang on to them, oh and I have a Atari 2600, Sega master system that still works to :)

I wonder? Where do TV and monitor tubes go. I know there are lots of toxins like mercury, lead, and cadium; those are very dangerous chemicals(Where do you guys dump these tubes. It is the most serious environmental problem in the world). I saw your video break down computer parts those kind of things anyone can recycle, reuse and which everyone can do, let me know where you guys dump the tubes.

its good that people are reycleing but people should learn more about electronics so they can fix them and better understand them people throw away working things becuase they dont know the difference from an operating system and a computer.

@bluebutdude1 E-waste is not created because people throw away computers that need the OS re-installed or because they don't know how to fix them. In those cases, they take them to computer repair stores. Computers are thrown out because they become obsolete.

At the outskirts of my town there is a processing plant that recycles electronic waste. I've been there with school. Too bad they crush all the cards or my pockets would be full. ^^'

exactly BigManMamasBoy and the pc at 0:07 is a Micron i have the exact same one lol 200mhz was some power back in the days :) but i still use it to browse the internet works nicely cuz hell i bet ya %80 - %90 of those pcs still work

@BigManMamasBoy I agree, People should learn about Memory, and how to get rid of viruses and spyware, which i believe slows a machine and makes people think , hey, I need a new machine! I know that 512 mb or memory is enough for most Joe smoes! Selling a machine with a 350 gig HD and 6 gig memory is to anyone is not really necessary , unless ur a gamer or DJ! or a Business with a large Clientel base! I got 256 mb ram machines that work just fine for me!
