Xubuntu 11.10 ...No Real Change Is Good..Nice

Really really (really) wanted to use this to blow away Ubuntu 9.04 on an old laptop of mine. Wifi works just fine on this machine, which none of the later Ubuntu versions do. But sadly, I get the dreaded "random hangs" bug. Gutted. I know it's just me....

@erajad I get that to. I got left hanging on my netbook thats not 1 year yet on the login screen

@erajad right, as for the hangs i have not had them since the beta, so maybe the alternative install might be better i have heard

@sneekylinux Thanks for the reply. Strangely enough, Lubuntu 11.10 seems to be doing the business nicely for me off the live CD. Will probably install soon. First saw it on your 6 Sep 2011 vid. ;) So - where's yr blog??

@freakyfloeppe21 i use quite a few on a regular basis including xubuntu, debian, macpup and tinycore.

I really like this version, to me is more stable that ubuntu with unity and with the all compiz effects actives works and look great.

For this release, Xubuntu is the best IMO. Just not into Unity and KDE.

@nw0n I think Xfce is more similar to Gnome 2 that I used before. That's make it easier I guess.
