The reason versus has taken so long is because they were waiting to finish up all the KH prequels and type-0, all of them are out and not versus has entered full production mode

13-2's devlopment team has only made 13 and 13-2 since versus's announcement(but they also made FF7, X and 12)

Those times are long past gone, since there is no Hironobu Sakaguchi. FF 13 is shit - a rip off from all the best, and FF 13-2(wtf) is even more lame, because they a so much short of story, that the cheapest story creation trick is used - TIME TRAVEL. And Noel - is it coincidence, but he is so much like Serge from Chrono Cross(as well as time travel thing in this excuse of a game). Square Enix should be ashamed for this inexcusable money making.

One thing that drove me about the original XIII insane was that characters in your party would move around randomly when in battle. This would mean that sometimes two characters would be practically hugging each other and an enemy would chuck a near instant-kill AOE at one of them. This problem became compounded by the fact that most pulls near the end of the game involved multiple enemies with such AOE attacks. Does this issue exist in the sequel? My purchasing the game will depend on it.

@GPVideoTV the reason why haste was rid off (except for when you do pre-emptive strike) was because it seemed a bit overpowered in a way that it speeds things up and just makes the battle a bit easier. SE wanted to make the battles more challenging by making haste exclusive to when you strike at enemies. anyway xiii-2 isn't over yet, there are sidequests and other dlcs that expand on the game itself. i recommend that if you want expansion of the storyline, ignore the costumes. i hope this helps!
