I think it was planned because Noel Gallagher and Ian Brown released a single together called 'Keep what ya got' and they may have played it at the end of this show.

The Stone Roses are a huge band in the UK, were probably the most important band of their time before oasis apart from The Smiths (who were even earlier). Both were big influences for Oasis.
