I have no words to say how grateful I am to you. You killed my curiosity that had dragged on since 1998. I looked for a song sang for her. Without doubt, is herself!!! THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH!!!!

  • who is the singer :\ this is the best version i've heard....

    genuine old chinese accent!!!

  • I like to know too .... Can anyone help us?

The only thing I know is in my description.

  • @agnaldus The original I think was sung by Deng Li Juan... Sorry, I don't know exactly how to spell her name.

And did you know she was from Shang Hai?

  • @Iceriver1000 I looked for other vids with her singing to compare the voice. I'm not sure, but I think that the singer has a voice tone sharper than Deng Li Jun (teresaTeng). But anyway many thanks for your comment.

  • I see you already got similar answers. Wu is simply a more general term for several closely related dialects, including Jiangsu dialect.

  • This version resembles traditional Chinese music more. The melody is more traditional and requires more singing skills. The version is especially great as it's sung in the Jiangsu dialect(a sub-division of the Wu Dialect) with a bit Qun opera style. So Authentic!!

  • Hi, Wilson

Well, The first time that i listened the version of my video it was in a special programme about Muo li Hua made by Portuguese section of Radio China international(in short wave) in 1998 or 1999. In that time i wrote to them asking about the singer, because i loved her voice but unfortunely i didn´t get or lost the replay ( via radiio).

  • Im Singing This Song Next Week,

    But Im Singing A Variation.

    So Yeah.

  • I wonder if this is what Chinese traditional music sounded 500 years ago, this is so beautiful but how many elements are taken more from modern technique that wouldn't be there even 100 years ago...maybe it sounded just like this though..I enjoyed this very much..

  • Here the it was sung in Jangsu dialect, as it is a Jiangsu local folk song which originated hundreds of yeas ago.

  • i sang it international fetival at my school today

  • I love this song!! My class sang it in an attempt to learn Chinese (part of our language class when we were there). We failed miserably at learning the language, but I learned to loooove the people of China

  • it is zhejiang or jiangsu dilect. i am from zhejiang province. homely..

  • Hi, StukInTexAss

Many thanks. Well, this dialect is from south of China. I am listener of Radio China International and some years ago they done a special programme about the muo li hua, and among many versions there was this one. Unfortunetelly, I don´t know the name of singer.

  • Great. I love to hear Han music without the western-style singing. What dialect is this?

  • The dialect is Wu dialect (吴方言), one of the eight dialects of spoken Chinese.

  • Hao ji le. Mei chang. What dialect is that? Very close to Guo-yu.
