@chowxxkit Chinese government says they won't be leaving HK and that they will not allow British or ROC to take over HK. They says 1984 treaty signed by Britain and China made sure Britain will not return to HK by making Britain promise not to do it.

As for ROC and Independence issue China made law after Taiwan threatened Independence some years ago, meaning HK cannot have independence or go to ROC. The law permit the PLA to defend HK  should uprising or ROC invasion happens.
