  • I hung out with her in Iraq. We were the first ones to hear this song. What a classy lady. She was fun to hang out with and she put on a great show. (and her band had a good time playing with our weapons, lol)

  • No matter how far I travel the United States will ALWAYS be home. Im proud of my family's long military history. I miss those of my friwnds who wont return from doing their duty and will never forget.

Someone once said - you don't want to stand behind our politicians, thats fine. But stand behind our troops IN HONOUR or you can stand in front of them in DISHONOUR.

  • @DylanKennedySanders

If theres anyone here who still has pride in those who died defending, the ol' red white and blue, this is country music, and we do.

  • My boyfriend just left for basic 5 days ago. I'm so worried that if he ever get deployed that he won't come back. I pray everyday that he'll stay safe. God Bless the USA<3

  • My twin brother and I are currently working on our 5th years as Marines and US Army Soliders and for us to hear a country artist put out a song like this is something we can truly listen to and be brought bck home in mind. To us this a true country artist who knows what knid of live we Armed forces" live in and then sing a song with love like this is something that I think all armed forces are greatful for. And we are PROUD to serve OUR country for FREEDOM!! Semper Fi & US Army United we stand!

  • I have 2 sons-in-law, one is an Army Combat Engineer, the other a Marine. God bless them.

  • My brother is in the marines too. Just because they fight for our country doesnt mean they like it anymore then the next person. We need someone to do and just be happy that you're safe. So I hope those 43 people think about as their ass is safe at home every night.

  • Yes I do have questions I get to ask them because I'm free. I love that line. The whole song is amazing but that sums it up and says it all.

  • AMEEEEEERICUUUUUUUUUUH

  • What if she got flipped off because she cut the lady off? Just saying. Or, because she was driving a "gas-guzzling" (to some people) vehicle. It's just alot to assume it was because of the sticker. Again, just saying.

  • Hey if your a true soldier then you should know not to be rude to the people that pay us.

  • PLEEEEEEEASE take a look at this on you tube , showing support for the burr family , its about a marines family who is being sued to take down a sign showing support for their son , a marine in afganistan . thank you !

  • The bumper stickers say "Support Our Troops", not "Support The War". Regardless of how you feel about the war or our government, you NEED to support our troops. It doesn't matter why they are over there. They are and need to make it home safe.

  • Wow obviously some of u didn't listen to her words!!! She does not support the war nor do I but I have family and friends who have served and or died serving and I am damn proud and thankful for them because if it wasn't for them we wouldn't b free!

  • beautiful song. My cousin is a marine, and i thank God EVERY day that he fights for our freedom. He had the guts to do what i only wished i had. Thank you to every one, past present and future who fight for this country,

  • @jasrogg WOW, U certainly have a strong opinion on this. And U know what-you are entitled to express that opinion here on this forum---or anywhere else in this country that U want. But ALWAYS remember!-the reason you have that right-is because for over 200 years our country's military has fought and died for you and everyone in our country to have that right. Its obvious that no one here will change your opinion-and thats OK-but just remember-especially today-our Independence Day-how lucky U R.

  • @vtsx3 I'm with you on that one that woman needs to remember that she has the rights to bad mouth someone because of our military.I just wanted to thank you for saying something to this person cause if no one did I would have and I wouldn't have been so nice about it so thanks God bless you and your family

  • My father was a career Navy officer. My husband spent five years in the Marine Corps. My father was disgusted by the Vietnam war. My husband is equally disgusted by our current wars around the planet. We don't need white trash like you, Chely, to definte what patriotism means. If you are willing to throw your borther's life away for immoral wars, then that is your problem. I guess you have to support these wars to get cheap gas for your SUV.

  • @dcande01 okay she is trying to state a point. You can at least be respectful for what happened to her and what she believes! That's the same with my family but my dad and my brother you need to just cool down because if you don't respect Chely for this reason think again! Welcome to reality... I really just want you to realize who is fighting for YOU who is putting their life on the line for YOU. I hope you realize this and actually respect those in the military!

  • I never served in the military. Its probably one of the few significant regrets I have in my life. What I will say is this. It does not matter if i support any particular conflict or not, I will always support our troops. I supported them as a teenager during Viet Nam as probably the only Republican student in my school. I support them now.

To everyone who came back, Welcome home.

To everyone who is missing, you are not forgotten.

To everyone who has served, Thank you.

  • @jasrogg you will never know what's it's like to be a marine bc you do not have enough balls to step forth and take the challenge to be a Marine if it wasn't for the marines, sailors, airman or soldiers you wouldn't have the freedom you have now...I've been in the marines since 2008 and I love it I am going on my first deployment next year but I know plenty of people who has faught and died so if you don't stand behind the military why don't you just stand in front if us

  • @joseph199036 Thank you for serving our country. My brother just finished boot camp back in january he is in california at 29 stumps right now. I just wanted to say thanks to you him and all our service men and women so again Thankyou

  • TRY THINKING 4 YOURSELVES!!Stop supporting a costitution that unless you are rich doesnt apply to you.Your Families are being sacrificed for a NEW WORLD ORDER.Stop joining stop voting stop shopping. It is time for Marines and every other military persons to do what some soldiers in Viet Nam did.Throw grenades at your commanding officers.READ SOLDIERS IN REVOLT!There were over 400 plus occasions when this act of true patriotism occurred. These wars are illegal and worse immoral.U know it i know it!

  • You know, "she" is the only person in the world who knows who Chely is talking about, and I know she really feels like dirt ever since this song came out, for that one single gesture.

  • @jasrogg don't speak, you won't win.

  • @FrannieMichelle19 We only lose when we cower instead of speaking

  • You know what, if you don't support the war that's fine, but have a little respect for our military. They do their job to keep your dumbasses safe. Like I tell my husband all the time, a soldier doesn't fight because he hates what is in front of him, but because he loves what he left behind. Proud Army Wife.

  • @FrannieMichelle19 Could not have said it better myself, from a proud Army Dad whose Baby Girl fights for your freedom.

  • This songs and many pro war pro aAmerica songs especially country have the military and intelligence communities helping write and produce these \JINGOISTIC mindless support of the military.Mainly because you were conditioned by your families and schools and religion and Hollywood that not only is war necessary but it is to be ROMANTIC.This gets the middle class to sacrifice there children for the good of the country. But they defending there country.THEY ARE KILLING FOR CORPORATE INTERESTS.

  • @jasrogg I'm sorry that you have such a narrow minded view of things. Having been raised by a "Pat" and proud of it. Listening to the stories he brought back from his tours and having the chance to talk to others who have returned from tours, the horrors and strife they face over there every day would make most "civilized" people cry. Do I agree with war? NO. Do I believe we are doing things for the better over there DAMN straight. If you want the truth talk to those who count then talk to us

  • @JPQ98 Talk to who another brainwashed military drone.I have talked to literally hundreds of soldiers and they all agree that they are doing whats right for there country and the world.IT DOESNT MAKE IT TRUE!The poor souls who are murdered because they happen to live in a mineral rich or Geo strategic location.Do u really think 1 million dead Iraq people is "better"?When u look at the world try looking at through the eyes of the supposed "enemy".Troops are just pawns on a grand chest board.

  • Respond to this video...You know until we get smarter and more educated about what is really happening in the world we as Americans and humans will continue to support these moronic PATRIOTIC songs. If u take the time to research and think critically you will see that soldiers have always been fodder they have always been sacrificed for some goal that the rich wish to achieve.History is riddled with these examples.STOP JOINING and FUCK PATRIOTISM!!!!!!!!!

  • @jasrogg ...First of all I served in The USMC from 1978 - 1986. Second my son now serves in the USMC and was wounded on July 4, 2010 in Afghanistan. And third....neither he nor I were EVER soldiers. We are MARINES, dammit! You remember that word....MARINE......any Marine....or any soldier, sailor or airman for that matter.....are worth far more than you wasted ass!

  • @MultiBaldEagle You know it truely is sad when anyone in the flower of there youth is struck down. However its your fault its your fault for letting your boy serve the same corporate interests that you did.And what did you get/a feeling of satisfaction that you kept Tha WORLD safe for Bp,General Dynamics,And Halliburton. You need to look at what soldiers get for there sacrifice,A dirty under staffed hospital or PTSD or maybe they are just mentally destroyed from killing 4 Business not freedom

  • @jasrogg ....I can't begin to tell you just how truly proud I am of my son......and just how utterly disgusted I am by your stupid-ass comments. My son serves so that damn fools like you can be free to print bullshit like this.

  • @MultiBaldEagle Youand your son are supporting a military industrial complex that dosent give a lick about freedom. Its people like me who are politically active and dont support and defend liars and Billionaires. You should thank your God for people like me who are pushing through the lie of Imperialism. You would be living in a police state Fascist nightmare if it werent for people like me.Standing armies are more of a threat to liberty than anything else.Your son if ORDERED would kill Americans

  • @jasrogg ....Thank my God for people like you? Oh I do....I do.....I thank my God for people like you because it's people like you who assure me that I and my son and all others who serve are in a far superior class than yourself........dont bother replying to this as this is the end of my conversation.

  • @MultiBaldEagle Finally!fuck.Your blind allegiance is touching,If not juvenile. We never had a conversation. You commented on my comment and i to yours. When your son or someone else you know end up dead or disabled youll have your patriotism to Get you through the hard times. You are an authoritarian follower. You trust strangers to send you and your family to die for there corporate or geo political reasons. All leaders are liars. You need to start reading;Chomsky,Parenti,Alex Jones, and Watt 4 now!

If you want the truth talk to those who count then talk tous

  • P.S. The dislikes.... GO BACK TO YOUR OWN COUNTRY !!!

  • Semper Fi

I proudly play this song when I get dirty looks, my SUV has usmc stuff all over it, my husband is a Marine... Thank you for thus song

  • 44 dislikes????? That's 44 commies we need to deport.... Semper Fi, brothers.

  • @dlbadolato Semper lies You bad ass Marines need to stop taking orders from Fascist, imperialist,And Zionists.YOU Marine are fodder for war. When was the last time any leader served in battle? What does the raverage soldier have to gain from war.Well the T.S.A gropes your kids. You pay 4 dollars for a gallon of gas.Great hospitals like Walter Reed.A vet admin that really justwants you to die rather than take care of you.And P>T>S>D.Isnt it great being a Marine. If u come home at all.

  • 43 people need to get that stick out of their ass and have pride for the USA. Support our troops because they support your life by fighting for it

  • @angelbeast198503 Actually now 44 people need to get that stick out of their ass. Thanks for the post it's nice to know there are still people out there who care. My little brother, my dad and, my brother -in-law thankyou as well.God bless our troops

  • @angelbeast198503 i am one of the troops and i dont want this gay activists support.

  • you know the lady that Chely is singing about should have been watching her own driving instead of focusing on a bumper sticker. I am proud to say that i support all of the troops out there. Ive had many family members in the military and i want to salute them all for the freedoms that they give us. Where your Army, Navy, Marines or what god bless you all and come home safe to us!

  • maybe she flipped her off because she changed lanes without signaling in a monstrous gas guzzler.

  • I lost a real good friend in jan of 2005. He was in the marines. She performed at the county fair where I live and she was informed that his mom and dad were there. She dedicated this song to them

  • What a bizarre song. If she wanted to honour her brother go ahead, knock yourself out. But don't make shit up or speculate wildly to make your point.

  • this is a very terrible song, regardless of the subject matter. It just doesn't sound good. The lyrics are incredibly lame. Doesn't anyone see that?

  • maybe the girl in the song flipped her off because chely is an awful driver. not because of a sticker.

  • IF you think the military is a good idea join and recruit you are sheep the universal soldier really is to blame SEMPER FI first to die MORONS

  • @jasrogg who the hell are you asshole!! hiding in a corner afraid to fight for your country???!! i have had faimly that fought and died for this country!! how dare you!! PIG

  • @jasrogg how baout this a**hole urs funny how you run down the marines since without them you would have the previlage of freedom of speech! FoS means think of what your saying and not just spurting it off! My cousins are in the service and my friends are too and I would give anything to have them back home and near me! So i think you need to remember that FoS isnt a license to say stupid things!

  • @luvmecountrymusic If you are dumb enough to believe the military is the reason you have the first amendment.the constitution was written before standing armies as matter of fact Jefferson said And im paraphrasing here but he said the only thing that threatens liberty and freedom MORE than a STANDING ARMY is the centralized bank.Your precious Marines are keeping the world free for drug dealers and monsanto and Bp and Chevron and any other corporate entity that has a prob with nationalization.

  • IF you think the military is a good idea join and recruit you are sheep the universal soldier really is to blame

  • God Bless Our sevice men and women for protecting our country and our freedom thankyou and may God keep you safe

  • I gotta say I love she did this song. My dad and my little brother are Marines. I also got a sticker for the U.S. Marines on the bumper of my car and I want to say thank you Chely for that song and Semper Fi. OORRAAHHH!!!!

  • semper FI

  • too bad she's a Vagitarian

  • @countyline81 Your mom probably was too if it wasn't for repression

  • @LeighLeighAdelaide

    How did you know?

  • Like the song, Don't think the lady was on her way to a church group meeting though lol.

  • I served with Chris Wright in the Marine Corps back in 1993 - 1995, Chely Wrights brother.

  • Got to see her sing this song live while on deployment in Iraq, She came to TQ to perform, we only got to here this song then we had to leave which sucked because we were all in the front row and i felt bad leaving. But hearing this song before having to return to our little piss hole way out in the sand, was nothing less than Amazing!

  • I was out there in 04 in Camp Taji. she even pulled me on stage out there to ask me questions wooo hooo keep up the good work Chely!

  • Chely came to Ft Stewart a few years back with Jeff Foxworthy & man did she ever put on a great show! God Bless our troops, their familes & supporters!

  • awesome song.... and thank you I served as well as two of our sons are serving now...

  • hooah

  • I agree. F that bitch. I lost a good friend to this war and when she performed at our county fair a yr or so later she found out his mom and dad was in the stands and she dedicated this song to them. The first time I heard this song it brought tears to my eyes and I had to pull over. R.I.P Marine Lance Cpl Jon Etterling. You are missed by all who knew you. I know I miss you

  • @1sick95venge RIP Marine.

  • Pardon my French, but "Fuck that Mini-Driven Bitch!"

You guys keep making these songs, WE DO APPRECIATE IT! and without People like you, Hell, There just ain't no reason to fight.

    Semper Fi! Stay hard!

  • Chely Wright is a pretty gal. Country all the way. Rockin out the Nashville, fixin the issues, makin it all better... better than it was before. Play on Chely with true love...

  • Thank you, Chely, for this.

There are two songs that will bring this broken down old jarhead to tears. The Marine Corps hymn, and this one.

    Ooh-friggin-rah.

  • My husband is in Afghanistan now and this song always brings tears to my eyes. Thank you Chely!

  • SEMPER FI to my fiancee in afghanistan!! I love you babyface!

  • i have that same sticker on my SUV (FORD EXCURTION) and im proud to show it of.

  • *****AWESOME Chely***** Loved it then and love it more now! ;)

  • every time she says U.S.Marines it gives me goose bumps.mostly because all most every male in my family is a Marine and also because cause I'm joining with the few .great song

  • You ever think maybe she got the finger because she was bad driver, not because of her bumper sticker?

    Just a thought.

  • Salute to all of our troops! May God protect you all.

  • Semper Fi!! To my Sons!! Praying for your safe return. Your Mother and I fret and worry everyday, even though you both ask us not to worry. So Proud!! So Worried! Always Faithful!!

  • Having served in the Marine Corps for 6 years, I was proud my son chose to serve also.

On Family Day, before he graduated Basic Training aboard Parris Island in 2007, they played this song and the video that accompanies it on the big screen in the auditorium.

    It received a standing ovation!!!

I just want to say I'm proud of my son, and all the other Marines present and past who chose to serve!

Semper Fi and God Bless you all!

  • god bless our troops.. semper fi

  • @axm0z5h the song is good. if you don't like the way she sings, that's got nothing to do with the quality of the song. and the reason her voice is shaky is because, as she said at the beginning, she was very nervous about performing it. any musician can have that happen if they're nervous.

  • i had to favorite this after listening to this. I've always loved Chely Wright..and this song is just one more reason why. thanks for posting..

  • I'm proud of all of our soldiers! HOOOOAH!

  • The song is good, but did she ever think the person gestured to her because she was just driving to slow. Because she knows that when the person did give her the bird that her problem was that sticker.

  • great song!!!!!

  • A great song. I think it is great. Thanks.

Thanks for all the service people do.

    be well ken

  • Im only 18 and my boyfriend is in the marines fixin to go overseas and this song really touches me its wonderful

  • you go girl. great job

  • I have her cd.... and this song is very poignant.... even for us in the UK.... our boys and girls fighting overseas too. And this song is means so much.....

  • Got to see her live while deployed in Al Anbar Province, Iraq. Not a Country Fan but really enjoyed the show. Thank you Chely for the support!

  • Thank you troops, and thank you all of you who responded

  • i have so much repect for the people who proudly serve our country...you guys are the best your number 1, keep doing what your doing and stay safe!!! i come from a military background and no how hard it is to have to say goodbye all the time<3

  • Semper Fidelis.

    Dennis...

Proud Dad of LCPL Jon, 0311

    2/4 "Magnificent Bastards"

  • i love this song. i have many friends and family in all branches of the military. I live 2 seconds from a huge marine base and i am so very proud of all of them. Thank you guys for all that you do and for what you sacrifice for this country. ya'll will always be in my heart and my prayers.

  • I've been back 3 days from iraq. I cried when hearing this.

Yesterday, I was explaining my troubles to my GF saying I was having troubles Decompressing and feeling Anxiety. She said to me. "You've got yourself into this war, you can get yourself out"

What she doesn't know is, I had a ring for her..

  • I've been back from Iraq 3 days..Today when I was sharing my feelings of anxiety with my GF she said to me, "You've got yourself into this war you can get yourself out " Little does she know, I had a ring waiting for her. (Till she said that)

  • My dear brother..She is not worth your time or your honor. I thank you for standing watch over me. God Bless you and Thank you for your service.

    Army Vet

  • Semper Fi Chris. God Bless You and Thank you, from a greatful nation!

  • Semper Fidelis Chely, thank you!

  • Thank you.

  • Maybe she's just a shitty driver who got the bird...

  • kill you

  • FUCK YOU MELLDANDY TO HELL

  • Mellandy go stick your head in a high heated oven kill all soldiers Soldiers are the only reason your dumb ass can sit on your ass and type that kind of dumb shit you should be respecting and honoring soldiers not posting stupid shit ppl like you is what makes the idiot count of the world go up!

  • I'm kinda confused about the previous arguments there. This is obviously not meant to be a song, she is merely making a statement and singing it instead of saying it because she is a performer. She's even very helpful in explaining to the audience exactly what it is...

  • trekfuel781, what else is a song than something the songwriter wants to say, set to music?

  • This song is clear...Support your soldiers..who are doing as they are asked...don't blindly support the politics...just blindly support the humans...Mothers,Fathers Sisters,Brothers the people who protect us....even if you don't support the war....support our troops

  • I see I got 3 thumbs down....LOL....good! Just for the record....I am a Marine Corps veteran! Once a jarhead, always a jarhead! And damn proud of it!

Chely Wright did this song as a tribute to her brother (a fellow Marine) and troops of all branches. Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines.......I really don't give a damn how many thumbs up or thumbs down my post gets.......I said it! And I'll stick by it! In the words of Ronald Reagan, "It is well to be liked, but far better to be respected!"

  • @MultiBaldEagle Thank you for serving our country my dad, my little brother and,my brother- in-law are all also marine in fact my brother just made Lance Corporal ( i hope i spelled that right) anyway I just wanted to say thanks

  • I wish I hadn't heard this song. I used to like Chely Wright's music but steelguitarboy is spot on. The quality of her songs really took a nosedive after the "Let Me In" album.

  • To Steelguitarboy: Thank you for your service.

Now... tell me... how is your opinion of this song and the singer (which is a verbal attack by the way) any different than the opinion of MultiBaldEagle of you?

    Just something to think about.

    Dave Walden

    Prior USAF

  • First of all, the difference is that that MultiBald made elementary assumptions about my service record on the condition that if I indeed had served in the military, I would have had a different opinion about the song. He also chose to poke fun of my screen name, as if it had anything to do with anything whatsoever. Now, please explain to me what, in your opinion, was a verbal attack on Wright? Did I call her the C word? Can you explain to me what the point of this song is?

  • Right On Chely! You really tell it like it is and we just love it!!! ;)

  • Wow. . . Fake tears and everything. This is right down there with "American soldier" & "Have you forgotten." Not only does Nashville insult the intelligence of the general population, but it will capitalize on tragedy no matter how pathetic the product it turns out. We've come a long way since the days of songs like "Ira Hayes."

  • LOSER

  • This is a tearjerker...for sure!! Luv it!!

  • she came to Afghanistan while I was there and performed this for us. It was an amazing experience! I dont think there was a dry eye in the whole place! She played it with just as much emotion then as she did in this video.

  • wow...myecoterror, there is a group that you fit into...its called extremeist. If you don't like our freedom go join your terrorist buddys in iraq

  • This song gets me everytime. It makes me so proud of my husband and all other military. God bless & OORRAHHH!!!

  • i got goose bumps listening to this. i'm a 16 year old infantry reserveist.

  • If you have "goose bumps" listening to this and want to join the service. . . First of all, your taste in music is completely awful. Secondly, do you know that you can back out of your contract at any time? Don't serve for the rabble rouser who can read a speech-never-served-never-would-serve commander in chief. I was Clinton army. My advise: See the world. Read some books. There are plenty of us who know what were doing and we don't need 16 year old reservists. Thanks for the try.

  • back out of your contract??? Don't serve for the.....????Clinton Army???? I don't know who you're calling a 16 year old reservist......Dude! I'm 48. You and I should get to know each other better!

  • ???.....?????.....????????....????????

  • Semper Fi! I served in the Corps. from 79 - 86 and my son is currently serving at 8th & I in DC. I love this special song for all branches, but especially for my Devil Dawgs! Oo-RAH!!!

  • Beautiful. Love the sotry of the song at the beginning

  • Haha. I love how she assumes that the other driver flipped her off because of a simple little bumper sticker. It couldn't be because of something more reasonable like getting cut-off or being a lane-hog! I never do anything wrong... It MUST be because I have a Marine bumper sticker! I'm going to go write an over-the-top patriotic song about it! Absolutely nuts.

  • Seriously! Someone is rude to her while driving so she jumps to the conclusion that that person

    1-Hates the military

2-Is wealthy enough to put her kids into private school

    3-Isn't well traveled.

And then a bunch of commenters here further assume that this person was a liberal. I wonder how often this thought process happens to some people in our country. That guy didn't open the door for me! He must be an AMERICA HATING PINKO.

  • You're not entirely wrong. I'm of the opinion that Wright wrote this song to do nothing but to cash in on the Nashville patriotic song category. Tune is shallow, poorly written, and not particularly profound in any way. All in all, that's par for the course for the Nashville machine. I just wish she wouldn't drag her country or it's service men through the muck just so she can pretend to give a darn. Country music is completely dead thanks to these sort of 'folk.'

  • steelguitarboy.......I think "BOY" is the key word here. Have you ever served? Apparently not! If you had, then you'd appreciate the true feelings in this song. As well as the songs you criticized in your previous post.

  • Let me break this down for you. First of all, I happen to be a genuine US Army Infantry Veteran. I also happen to be one of the youngest pedal steel guitar players in the United States. That said, you do your 'cause' vary poorly, whatever it might be. You call me "boy." You assume things about what I post with absolutely any basis... 1/23 Infantry in Ft. Lewis WA, & 1+ miserable year in Camp Hovey in S. Korea. Instead of confronting me on my post, you attack me verbally? Pathetic!

  • This is one of the best military songs I hvae ever heard. I think she is a great singer/song writer. I wish us true fans will hear new material some time soon! We miss you Chely. Please come back!

  • I hope God has a special place reserved for people who trash our soldiers and those of us who support them. So many have made the ultimate sacrifice either by death or by having their lives altered forever. You should be so ashamed. Words cannot describe how sick it makes me to see the anti-american comments on here. If you can't support the men & women fighting for your stupidity why don't you leave our country cause you aren't an American! May God Have Mercy On Your Soul.

  • People's ignorance and lack of respect for themselves and other's never ceases to amaze me. She wrote this from her heart & out of anger but had to be talked in to recording it and singn it. My dad and stepdad were Navy. My lil older sister was a marine. Our soldiers sacrifice everything so they can fight for our freedom. Their families and children suffer some never even meet their mom's & dad's because the give the ultimate sacrifice so you can come on here and say such awlful things

  • She is AHHH-mazing!! I just adore her.

  • you go girl my son has been there for 5 years keep going america

  • Maybe, just maybe, the woman in the story gave you the finger because you are a terrible driver or were oblivious your surroundings while driving, and she wasn't making a political statement or showing how much she hates our Marines.

    Just throwing that out there.

  • This is one old Marine that is proud she has that sticker...and this song. THANK YOU, CHELY...Semper Fi !

  • @NamVetBuck ......From one Jarhead to another....Semper Fi! Thank you for your service, my brother!

  • i think its funny all the hatred stuff people write about the military but im sure they wouldnt be saying that if they were in our shoes. ive been in for 4 years and there are good and bad people in the military just like theres good and bad civilians....dont judge all of us just because what the ignorant ones have done!

  • My mom recieved this in an email and ive been looking for it since then!

  • I find it utterly amazing, hundreds of Hollywood liberals put out political songs and movies to promote their agenda. But whenever a conservative writes a political song, liberals go crazy, even throwing in personal insults. Let me tell you liberals something: Us conservatives can live without you. Without conservatives, you liberals would wither away and die. That is the undeniable truth you cannot argue.

  • Lol, what was that about personal insults?

  • dont insault the military...soldiers r heros bitch...thank the military..if it wasnt for them ur ass would be speakin gurman. i love my soldier and wear my yellow ribban every day....

  • Wow. The ignorance displayed by commenters here is huge. Do you people even know anyone in the military? We don't do this job because we're monsters, or because we're just not smart enough to do anything else; we do it because we believe in this country, in our Constitution & what it stands for. Like many of you, most of us are DISGUSTED by torture of prisoners, and in the systemic abuse of the constitution by the previous administration. But we do what we do because we have faith in our country

  • And you don't realize who works to make you saying things like this okay do you?

  • Look in the mirror and you'll see a much worse/bigger monster.

  • OMG!! I agree with this song completely!! My husband is a Marine and he fights for us. I don't think it's right for the people that think down on us. We are still free because of the military which includes the US Marines!! ^_^

  • no, you're free because of activism. The troops provide a defense deterrent, sure, but they haven't been used to defend us directly since 1812

  • 'You're free because of activism'.

    BWAHAHAHAHAHAH!

I hope, Sir or Ma'am, you're drunk or stoned or something. Because I don't know what's more shocking: your ignorance and naivete, or your willingness to post such ill-informed garbage on a public forum.

  • I personally helped bring down an authoritarian, theocratic, anti-democratic, Fascist, misogynistic, racist and homophobic regime by force of arms. If that's not 'making people free'. then I don't know what is.

  • Iraq is going to have several mass executions of homosexuals for being homosexual. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

  • FltyingFoxOz thank you for your service! It is because of people like you that we are free and people like that can say idiotic things like they did.

  • What do you call the war currently being waged in Afghanistan? You probably think that, that war is not defending our Country but making us weaker. When in fact it is making us stronger because we should be fighting the IslamoNazi's over in their part of the world and not here on our soil!
