Yeah it is Gary Grainger. My teacher, Toby Fairchild knows him personally. They have played alot together. He is a really nice guy, salt of the earth!
Hmmm...it just looks too small for a 12"...I could compromise by suggesting that it's maybe an 11" - but it still looks like a 10" to me...the mystery continues...
Yes, they're DEFINITELY less than 14"...I used to have a 10" Paiste splash, and it looks about that size...I still say they are no more than 11"...maybe I could locate a drumkit description (for DC) - or I could call him at home!...
I appreciate your opinion - but I just think they are (at most) 11"...I had tried finding information on his kit(s), but I couldn't find anything...the hi-hat question continues...
He's right, my dad was tech for him in the early 80's. Hes also playing his 22in earth ride. Zildjan initially sent him a 20 and a 22. then later they made him a 21 and thats the one he plays at the first buddy rich memorial
Its the same bassist as on John Scofields Jazz Funk guitar I, II. The groove and song is from John Scofield as well, dont know the name of it but its the opening song. They seem to have recorded both Johns and Davids videos at the same time. Effective I guess :) Best, Sandemose

I like how they feed off of each other. Bassist makes Dennis sound better and Dennis makes the bassist sound better.

they sound small anyways and judging by the snare size they are definetly smaller than 14"

I bet they are 13" because 13's look alot smaller than 14's (more than you might expect) so i am saying 13's or 12's
