@Flaminglog People who haven't read the info and don't know that this sound is actually coming from another planet, but think that this is some movie ambience
Hey BreathedbytheStars, I've heard this recording before I think in three different places. This video, NASA's Symphonies of the Planets, and Bry3500's Sounds of Space. Bry3500 said that this sound was Io, how did you figure out it was from Uranus' rings?
Hi AgentAndromeda, the sound of this video is directly extracted from the volume 4 of the Nasa's Symphonies of the Planets, dedicated to Uranus. You can hear the sound of Io (volume 8 of the collection), in the video dedicated to this Jupiterian moon.
Hey dude thanks for getting back to me. Before I say anything else, it's not your fault, it's mine, but I got a little confused. So you took part track 4 and 8 and put them together? If that is it, it's very very cool.
No, what you hear on this video is the direct extraction of the ten first minutes of the fourth volume of the collection "Nasa Voyager Recordings - Symphonies of the Planets". It is a ten discs box published by Brain/Mind Research in 1990.
If you check my other vid, you'll see another one dedicated to Io, which is volume 8.
All videos are presented untreated, in a phonographic way.
Hey dude. Once again thanks for getting back to me. I'm pretty sure I get it now. I will check out your video dedicated to Io. I was wondering if you happen to know where I could get that Symphonies of the Planets you are talking about? Because I was thinking of the one with only 5 volumes that was published by Laserlight in 1992. Lol
You can found the complete Nasa Voyager recordings on Amazon, in digital format, for 6$. The edition of Brain/Mind Research is a quest to find. The 5 volumes collection of Laserlight still can be found on Amazon too, for very reasonable prices.
Hey dude. Thanks for telling me how I could find them. I was able to find the ten disc set on Amazon with only one missing. Could you list the volumes in order so I can tell which one I'm missing? I'd like it very much. Once again thank you for telling me how to find them, I couldn't have done it without your help.
the "Song of the Earth" features recordings of the Earth from the space, mainly electromagnetism and solar wind ; while the "Voice of Earth" features recordings "on surface" : mainly winds, underwater soundtakes, whales, dolphins, aurora, earthquakes. The "Voice of Earth" disc is the most sweet and luminous in terms of color. Translucent music, like suspended in the space, moving continuously very slowly.
Totaly a sounds from Half Life hahahaha

What exact music pitches are going on here? Maybe the pitch data of the planets can be mapped.

Sure. Vol.1 Jupiter ; Vol.2 Miranda ; Vol.3 Neptune ; Vol.4 Rings of Uranus ; Vol.5 Saturn's rings ; Vol.6 Saturn ; Vol.7 Song of Earth ; Vol.8 Sphere of Io ; Vol.9 Uranus ; Vol.10 Voice of Earth.
The Laserlight edition does not have any name, just "Symphonies of the Planets vol.1 to 5".
Enjoy the music of the Spheres.
