  • This is comedy and it's funny, so I am not going to argue theology under it, however it IS from the Matthew, so ought to be taken with a pinch of salt, and not as, erm... gospel.

  • funny video

  • I was going to post a comment but then I realised I can't be bothered

  • Just if all theists(jews, christians, muslims, etc...) would "admit" that the whole heaven system is absurd... Funny entertainment for rational mind! Another great video! ★★★★★

  • As a Christian I do find this funny - if you're going to generalise, why do all atheists think all theists have no sense of humour. If you got your head out of your own backside you might actually get the point of what is being taught.

  • Other than yours; where is the generalization in any comments to this video?

The generalisation is in your own initial comment - I have highlighted them for you.

I hope you realise that my generalisations are tongue in cheek to reflect your own.

  • Hello Baneofthescum,

Those are two different sentences that I wrote are neither stating nor implying a generalization(at least not intentionally)...

    Key word being "if"...

    P.S.

"tongue in cheek"? yes, I realize that.

  • aaaaaaahhhhhhhh

  • @Baneofthescum yeah but we are laught at you not with you. You see the whole story is so clearly unjust how can you possible belive it

  • @badpanda84 Unjust? How so?

  • @Baneofthescum Well it implies that someone who converted to christainity on there deathbed get the same as someone who was a devoted christain all his life.

If that is the case then why dosent everyone sin as ,much as they want and then convert at the last minute

  • Not a bad summary, but the point is more about Jesus saying to ordinary people that God loves them just as much as any fervent pious church-goer. As for deathbed repentances, they're fine - if you get a chance to make them. But if you believe in God, and I know that's a big "if", wouldn't you want a relationship with Him sooner rather than later? It is possible to be a Christian and have a wonderful, adventurous and joyful life.

  • @Baneofthescum I'd say the point is to reinforce the commandment not to covet thy neighbours goods. As in, don't get jealous about what other people have as inequality is everywhere and will always be found if you look hard enough for it. But I'm just an Atheist, what would I know?

  • Very good, this reminds me of 'Thought for the Day' on Terry Wogan's radio show. Opppps, did I just admit that??

  • this is great! i wish they had something like this on american tv....
