Anyone happens to remember or know a mid 90's house song where a guy sings something like this(please excuse the lyrics,I have no idea just what it sounds like).
It goes like:Fi five for my na na na.Anyone have a remote idea of what I am talking about?
I was in my late teens early twenties during this period. No matter how hard I tried, I could never get that awesome feeling and experience that those hedonistic days produced. I feel sorry for those that never had the experience I had.

this is oldschool drum and bass or jungle what ever you want to call it they are both the same to me music is music when it comes to techno its what you like and feel
@countdown72 hahaha, wtf have i started... either way, its fucking LARGE.... for hardcore please see scott brown, angerfist or promo for details, hahaha

British dance music 89-94 was unique, especially (Happy) Hardcore & Jungle Drum & Bass, listen to those that enjoyed it.
@countdown72 The bottom line is that the music was creative and bloody good to go out and dance all night to. I think our teenage Austrian friend cannot grasp that fact.
@ViennaSoftcore this aint d+b fella it is hardcore, d+b did not evolve as a genre till about mid 95,it went like this,88-90 acid house,90-92 hardcore, then the hardcore split into darkcore and happy hardcore for about 12 months, then BOOOOMMM jungle hit us late 93 early 94, after that people started makin tunes called inteligent, thats when d+b first arrived, class dismissed \o/
The fact that you've got this many views for a tune from what was a really underground scene says a lot about how influential tracks from this era are :)
@CharliesDaddy22 I can't claim to be a real old skooler as got into jungle in 94 although I do remember the odd track from 92 first time around ;)... I booked dj Swane a few years back and he said '92 was his favourite year!
I can honestly say these were the best days of my life. NO LIE. I try to explain to my niece and nephew about the ravin days and they will never understand...... This is a proper, proper tune. Big up all the ravers, all the old skool, if you were there, then you know......say no more
@kazzamish I fell sorry for the kids of today, they just didnt have the great music we had. Even with the awesome hardcore and jungle we had, there was the best hip hop and even the indie music was good.
@RecklessBones Agreed. There was a spirit of the time, a zeitgeist, as well. Different styles of music throughout the country but a positive vibe everywhere. Just look at the comments on any old jungle/house/old school/dance in general track on here from 87- 95. When one tune can take you back to an exact place and a time and give you goose bumps and tingles up your spine there must have been something special going on.

Oh My Days....remember recording this off pirate radio and flicking my beroom lights on and off *no strobe* having it in in there #cringe for them memories hahahaha
I've listened to this song many times, but i haven't heard this upload and it went on forever and i really got into the rhythm of it. Seriously a big tune for the genre and era
What a fuckin tune, got to be my personal favourite, original E heads never forget this one, aston villa leisure centre 1992 ' wish i could go back in time!!!!!!!!
Gutted I was 9 when this tune came out - I grew up listening to 90's rave and then onto jungle - ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ever came close to how the old stuff made my head rock when I heard it! - Would have killed to gone to raves in the 90's !
One of the best parts of the raves was the day after - the come downs were wicked, kicking back to someone's flat. Swear, I used to make sure I had as much gear for the comedowns as the previous night. Around about 6 pm the next day everyone would be just sooo fucked - just about lifting their heads of the floor to take that final drag.. I used to sink about 4 beers to finish off, then wake about 2 days later. Good times for the mind, bad times for the body.
Krome and Time were sound, but times MC'ing was shit and they only ever played in Sterns underground once when I was there and it was they exact same set they did at Empire the week before. Give me House Junkie or Lenny Dee Clarkee any day!!!
Still they are both south coast favourites! Think I was at the first time they played Sesame Treat live. Missed big bird!
Indeed how can we "get back to this" again. Time machine back to 1992? I remember being fucked on mushies a lot of the time back then, with these tunes, it changed my life. I still listen to all these tunes now because of it. This tune certainly wasn't even one of the best though, overplayed, mainstream almost by the mid 90's this tune. Check out "mo2vation & apex the animator the animation ep" that was mixed with this Krome & Time one in Ratpack @ Fantazia 1992. ONE STEP BEYOOOOOOND.
Glad I was born in England and was just a teenager when I witnessed this era of music but to be in a rave when stuff like this was been played when with your mate dove nothing has or ever will come close, all old skoolers will know what I mean unlike the chavy shite thats around today!
@elexio99 I wish you had been to the undergound raves in South Africa 91 to 94, had shit loads of UK DJ's playing there My uncle first got me into it in 1988, I was 13, 23 years I've been clubbing (if the hips allow it these days)
Aug 12th '92 - Vibes Alive Rave - Sweet Sensation?, Hackpen Hill near Swindon, this tune come on and I remember the ground shakin' from the bass line and it was bloody cold that night, great times from an era when us youngsters got off our arses and did something!
I saw Krome and Time and Hype play back in the day in Germany. I wish i had a time machine- i would most def go back to the early 90's rAVE scene. Now all the underground is dub step- really? that shit sucks!
@seattlesean100 omg i wishhhhhhh i could have a time machine to man! sadly im kinda young so i never had the chance to see them live but i have to agree i hate dub step! its garbage....but this whatever thats why this sound is for the underground for a reason :]
@seattlesean100 omg i wishhhhhhh i could have a time machine to man! sadly im kinda young so i never had the chance to see them live but i have to agree i hate dub step! its garbage....but this whatever thats why this sound is for the underground for a reason :]
I was lucky to witness this played live back in the day..Best raving days of my life with the likes of Easygroove,Micky Finn and dj Rap all belting this beast out!
You guys that were old enough to be a part of it all back in the 1990s are lucky. Me, born in 1993 in the US. A shame this stuff isn't still around. No school like the oldskool!
@t3hsheeple I'm from holland and from 1991, Just turned 18 last november. The music back in 1990 was great, so were the party's. But they just keep getting better. Decibel was last Saturday a month before that Dominator. Chek those out!
The P.L.U.R generation of Ravers were the most honest when it came to emotions and music...it was never all about the drugs but as usual, pop culture intervened and fuckked everything up for us. Sidenote: Rap and techno DO NOT FUCKING MIX! thank you.

Cya!

The P.L.U.R generation of Ravers were the most honest when it came to emotions and music...it was never all about the drugs but as usual, pop culture intervened and fuckked everything up for us. Sidenote: Rap and techno DO NOT FUCKING MIX! thank you.
