Well, there are "many" mods trying to recreate the fps style or thirth person, but most of the time battle.net have a small minimum delay which is much bigger than in normal fps. By making a map of this kind, it will surely lag caus of battle.net delay. I'm not scared about lag ingame, just need an option to set the Camera,s maximum range and there you go. But for b.net you can't change the delay with the servers... Still, good luck.

@ttosaj Battle.net will be the server. Character progression will be persistent, meaning, you will be able to save up to three characters; their level, items, abilities, guild, achievements, etc. will all be saved.

@CreationArtist25 Technically you could save more than 3 characters, but loading them will be a pain in the arse, because you would have to constantly go to your XML files and save/load them up BEFORE running SC or the map.

One question, is it going to be paper doll, because that would be awesome.

@NewskoolGamerzNSGZ All data is stored clientside. It's not blizzard-employed and I doubt blizz would put that much effort into a project like this without any money coming back. Because it's a custom game written by normal developers in Starcraft, the save files would be saved in XML, the only way to currently save any data.

@masterprivate118 Actually anyone can play this. Some individuals with poor computers may need to play on lower graphics settings, but it works fine. Furthermore Blizzard has been making some pretty massive improvements to game performance over battle.net which has consequently resulted in improvements within SCU. We will come up with minimum and recommended computer specifications for SCU in the near future. :)

I remember my old rig lagging in the Campaign because the camera would tilt over the battlefield showing more models and the entire landscape (I play on medium back then) and my PC would lag so much.

Hopefully alot of people can play this, because it's no fun if someone lags to death while there are some Roaches melting away our pawns.
