These are good videos for those who have the curiosity of finding out whether hang gliding is for them or not. I've personally never done this, but I'm interesting in trying it. I hope no one does this without the proper training from someone who is experienced in this field. Thanks for these videos. It helped to reassure myself that I can do this, but first....I need an instructor.
NOTE: The hang glider pilot shown was asked to do this as a favor by the film maker- a paraglider pilot selling videos to Expert Village
It was intended as a BASIC OVERVIEW only! It may look like complete instruction, but is NOT! There is so much more to learn that can ONLY COME FROM AN INSTRUCTOR BEING PRESENT see USHPA.org
The pilot had no script nor chance to see/edit the video/text. It's pretty good, but (WARNING!) there are several errors, cuts/omissions & a few misrepresentations.

Love the video series! But I have to say, I hope you aren't teaching people to let go of the downtubes and grab for the basetube in mid-run (as seen at the end of the video). Only reach down for the basetube after the glider is flying, after the feet have left the ground, for most sites.
@tontar The sequence of launching from the basetube was taken out of context for the video. That was NOT intended to show a proper launch method, though it IS fun in the dunes.
As a rated instructor, I must ask that you add a disclaimer that hang gliding is best learned under proper supervision and training. I only fear that some yahoo out there will think he knows how to hang glide from these videos and end up hurting himself, I've seen it before. These are good informative videos, so thank you, but it is just enough information to some people in a lot of trouble, hurt or killed.
Daisy Duke? Man she's let herself go...

He did mention "your instructor will go over this"...so he is presupposing that the person will have an instructor.

a good analogy of car clutch to nose angle;
also consider angle of attack. Also very
good describing importance of running [fast]
enough to let glider carry you airborne;
cannot 'jump' into glider like one can jump
onto any moving on-the-ground vehicle.
Soft deep sand at site with steady winds is
a very good site for newcomers.
