Music is haraam. Nasheeds today incorporate musical instruments and acapella-like singing and humming. HARAAM. Nasheeds during the time of the prophet didn't have all these things. They were like poems and I'm sure you know how poems are read. Please, it is very irritating to have nasheeds in the background and it also makes it hard to hear the shaykh.

As for myself, unless there is some quran or nasheed in the background---then I find it hard to sit and listen. Also, this is a nasheed, it is different from music. But perhaps people could upload two versions, one with the talk, and one with the nasheed....check out the halal dawa channel. It has lots of gems in it and full lectures.
