  • kyuss > Soundgarden

  • @theryanzilla never heard of soundgarden but i agree

  • @theryanzilla Two of my favorite bands. Both good covers but I personally don't like the original.

  • this is good, but Soundgarden still beats this (no surprise there)

  • @Lawldudz A big surprise that anyone would think that actually. Especially when Audioslave was obviously the better of Cornell's bands.

  • @Babyshaking lol no. Audioslave was good, but Soundgarden in their prime were unbeatable

  • @Babyshaking what?! no it isnt! cornell's voice was horrible in audioslave, hes got it back now, most of his range, after soundgarden reunited.

  • this is good but seems kind of redundant; every kyuss song is like a sabbath cover...hehe

  • @dimebagdemon626 i agree with you, then who's agree with me?

  • @indradbachrie uh I do

  • my ears just cum

  • What about Hispanic Christian metal? or Lesbian Disco Metal? your leaving a lot of sub genres out cocks.

  • @LanryLeeFefeby666 Damn, I want to hear me some lesbian disco metal.

  • @LanryLeeFefeby666

Lesbian Disco Metal sounds interesting... ;) lol

  • Great band, great sound!!!

  • @RetoRoesti

No one is making you read the comments. Also generally people who call sub-genres stupid/retarded are annoyed because they don't understand them.

Oh, and putting thanks at the end of your comment makes you look like an annoying Scene Girl since like 90% of people who do that are.

  • I think the vocals are great but John mentioned to this day he can't listen to the recorded vocals. He requested the recording of new vocals shortly after recording but by the time he asked it was too late.

  • @valknutwarrior grammar is irrelevant. you get the message.

  • @valknutwarrior I dont know if you release how inmature and funny you are. I am really having fun here. Black Sabbath members can say what ever they want to say, ozzy call himself the prince of darkness and the godfather of heavy metal, and back in the day black sabbath was all about good fine rock/blues. they never thinked about "metal".

  • @valknutwarrior Why do you get so mad at me?. Troll? what the fuck is a internet troll? I am not related with internet "geek" lenguage, thats for nerd people. and you still believe in thrash metal?. lets do this. comeback to me in 10 years more, then reply at me, with 10 years more of music "theory" in your soul and heart, you will understand.

  • @valknutwarrior wow, check this "rage kid" and I dont a give a fuck about it. lol.

  • @valknutwarrior you must really have a shitty theory then, I do have one as well, I guess is more bigger.

  • It's not about who did the better version. Black Sabbath is the most influential metal band in history, whose legacy if far beyond any other bands. That's just a fact. And into the void is one of Sabbaths best songs ever.

Kyuss is not even close to Black Sabbath. Everybody with just a little common sense will know that. However - This tribute is played with respect to the original, and with just the right touch so everybody knows that this is Kyuss playing.

Best Sabbath cover I ever heard

  • Great song. Sepultura does it wicked too, as does so many other bands. BUT.... NO ONE DOES IT LIKE BLACK-SABBATH!!

  • It's a cover of the original. It's good. I still like Sabbath's better. Ozzy's voice can't be touched. He was perfect for Black Sabbath and a different voice just doesn't do it...IMHO.

  • @3:00 a nice little hiatus

  • this is amazing

  • omg did they just make the best better?

  • Best version yet.Even better than Sabb

  • Holy feck...did I comment on this again?

  • gotta give credit where it's due. this cover is damn good

  • This was the first Kyuss song i ever heard. Amazing cover..

  • Comment removed

  • listen to soundgardens version! awesome..

  • FUCKING HELL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @kvq1999 Fuck you Kristina

  • @kvq1999 g2hb stfu

  • @kvq1999 No, the best version of this Black Sabbath

masterpiece is by Exhorder. Monster Magnet does

a great job, quite original, and Soundgarden's

cover of this song is excellent, but listen to Exhorder,

    their version is much better.

  • @VincentL7 Exhorder's version, other than the vocals, is a carbon copy of the original, except with a pussified nu-metal sound. The tone is terrible. The guitar in this version actually has some balls, and it's super heavy. The original take on the middle section (the jungle jam) is awesome too.

  • @NuclearGuru350 Exhorder doesn't have a "nu-metal" sound,

what are you talking about! Exhorder is a trash metal band. This

Kyuss band may have the sound of the 70s rock bands, but their

leading guitar is not nearly as heavy as Exhorder's, NOT AT ALL!

Just compare the riffs on this version and the one by Exhorder.

Listen to the studio version of this song by Exhorder, and you'll

find the tone is not that terrible.

  • @VincentL7 I've listened to it dude... the tone of the Exhorder version sounds like he left a wah pedal cocked open halfway. Way too much treble; there's no balls in it. Josh Homme played his guitar through a bass amp in Kyuss, and it sounds fuckin' awesome. Along with Scott Reeder's heavy bass tone, it makes this one of the heaviest versions. Heavy is in the delivery (and the bass), not in the distortion.

  • @NuclearGuru350 yeah i am pretty sure he used a bass amp in the first qotsa cds too. the self titled one and the split ep. totally fucking badass.

  • @murphyhurtme yeah i bet he did. his tone on the first QOTSA album is very Kyuss-ish. I wish Queens still sounded that heavy

  • @NuclearGuru350 i know i will listen to their older ones forever. i think theres a re release though

  • @NuclearGuru350 I don't know man, this Kyuss version is too fast and too

fragmental on its riffs for me, and that doesn't make it any heavier. Heavy is

not in the bass alone, but in the slow, deep, and gradual conclusion delivery

of the riffs, and that's precisely what characterizes doom metal as the heaviest

of them all, therein lie REAL balls dude, if you know what I mean.

  • @VincentL7

    well said!

  • @VincentL7 word

  • @VincentL7 Heavy = all about the bass

Fuck Exhorder, trash metal doesnt even exist, they have a shitty guitar tone, Kyuss wrote a page in "human artistic history". This version is even way more explosive than the Black Sabbath one. What did Exhorder? nothing but something already done, I dont give a fuck about those shitty lame and repetitive bands.

  • @yovioleatuzorramadre FUCK KYUSS!!!! "Human artistic history"

MY ASS!!!!! You don't even know what trash metal is. So don't give

me this bull shit about "human artistic history", cause you don't even

know what that means, if you did you would know what true metal

is, and you would appreciate it. So, Kyuss haven't done anything

already done???---Just listen to this CRAPPY HIPPIE version of one

of Black Sabbath's best. Kyuss better than Black Sabbath? Don't

    make me fucking laugh.

  • @VincentL7 Innovators from different times... neither better or worse.

  • @VincentL7 lol. this is funny. Trash Metal doesnt exist, is just marketing, a label, nothing more deep than that. the bigest prove of this is the music himself: HUGE musical (and everything) difference between "trash metal" bands, the only similarities can be the boring and repetitive music (like Exhorder). Dont be an ignorant kid, trash metal is just a marketing term, commercial shit, even trash metal bands dont give a shit about it, they say they play metal, not trash metal, otherwise sucks.

  • @yovioleatuzorramadre The fuck is trash metal? It's fucking THRASH. Not trash.

  • @Thrashead666 who gives a fuck. you? lol. it doesnt even exist

  • @yovioleatuzorramadre Then what would you call Annihilator, Exodus, early Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax, Slayer, Evile, Warbringer and Kreator?

  • @Thrashead666 Simple: Metal and Hard Rock. Thrash/death/black/speed/groove and all of those shitty terms do not exist, Doom Metal is probably THE ONLY ONE term that is an actual genre apart from regular metal/rock.

  • @yovioleatuzorramadre This is where you are wrong. If all those subgenres come under metal to you, why does doom come under an entire different genre? You're making no sense now

  • @Thrashead666 Because there is a HUGE musical difference betweem those subgenres (metal) with "doom metal" sound, wich is something more on his own and particular way, the music speaks by himself. Compare "Saint Vitus" with any metal band.

  • @yovioleatuzorramadre Those are called sub genres you sad little man.

They take notice of the musical differences and influences.

Or would you call Symphonic Power metal and Proggresive Death metal the same thing?

Just because your to stupid and ignorant to memorize genres doesnt mean they ''dont exist''.

Doom metal is just simplified heavy metal with low tuning. Its not a stand alone genre at all.....

  • @Guyverhoeven Once again. I read a shit comment with nothing more than bullshit. symphonic power metal = proggtresive death metal (lol haha what the fuck, fags have a lot of creativity I guess) = Metal.

Doom Metal have pretty much way more different structured things to show, inteast of regular garbage.

  • @yovioleatuzorramadre

I don't think you understand Metal, or subgenres.

    Like....at all.

As I read more and more of this discussion it's clear that you don't.

  • @yovioleatuzorramadre Doom metal is Classic Heavy metal with a low tuning and less melodie. Nothing more really.

Its pretty ironic how you say all Metalgenre's dont ''exist'' and Doom Metal does when Doom metal in actuallity is one of the smallest genres in metal.

Well i guess Pop,Rock,Metal,Techno,Classical music and Jazz are all the same to? They are just for marketing. Not to point out that they actually all sound completely different but whatever.....

Im just gonna take you for trolling.

  • @yovioleatuzorramadre So what your saying is a band like for example. Blind Guardian sounds completely the same as a band like Cannibal Corpse?

  • @Guyverhoeven no band sounds like another band (maybe a rip off) that happens in sun genre. you are saying my point.

  • Comment removed

  • @yovioleatuzorramadre I dont see your point at all. Sub genres are simply to categorize bands that share a certain amount of musical elements. its like saying

: hey i like metal,Oh you like Cannibal corpse!, No not that kind of metal, blind guardian kind of metal.

Ah so you like Helloween to? Yes i do.

Why bother making shit that hard when you could just say : ''Hey i like ''Power metal''. '' Its pretty fucking obvious sorry if you still dont understand the meaning behind it.

  • @yovioleatuzorramadre You obviously can't discern the different styles

in music between the bast majority of metal genres. You sound like a lefty

bashing the market and capitalism instead of seeing or analyzing what

makes a type of metal different from the other. Trash metal is way different

from doom metal, and doom metal is different from black metal, black from

death, and so on. Focus on the genre, not on the bands. Metal is what

it is regardless of your personal- Marxist beliefs.

  • @VincentL7 I have zero to do with marxism. So I guess you are talking the truth, wait, you say I have marxist beliefs and thats no truth. Shit arguments dont works. Lets talk about 2 "trash metal" bands, metallica and Slayer, HUGE musical difference. and so on I can talk all night long, but I dont because is boring. I usea my ears. you? shit.

  • @VincentL7 By the way, I dont think that Kyuss is better than Black Sabbath, they are both great in the SAME LEVEL, and thats a fact. I just say that this version is better than the original, wich is truth, the music/jam speaks by himself.

  • @VincentL7 'fragmental on it's riffs' and 'gradual conclusion delivery of the riffs..'. WTF are you on about?! hahahahahaha Damn.... o_0

  • @xPEACHxEATERx You have the brain of a freakin

    three year old dude.

  • @VincentL7 LOL agreed. Fuck im baked to the max and I completely understand.

  • @VincentL7

Sorry, wrong. Sabbath did the best version of this song. Covers for this wonderful song are covers, while Sabbaths version is a true masterpiece. Sorry, you can't top perfection.

  • @TheAndrewsterner Your RIGHT a thousand times!!!! But I NEVER

said that any of the other great bands, including this one Kyuss,

NOT even my favorite one, Exhorder, have the talent to top the

original one by Black Sabbath, after all, they're the creators of this

musical masterpiece. I meant to say that any of the versions that came

after Sabbath's original Into The Void, the one by Exhorder was the

best, and Tony Iommi himself once said the same.

  • OH YEAH!! Hyperfuzz makes me cry from below!!

  • FUGGIN BAD ASS!!!

  • 6Nesssssssss

  • see ya in march in collogne... will be nice :-)

  • Great, really great!!

  • Great!!

  • Check out Anthrax's cover of "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath".

So good, you will start a mosh pit at a funeral.

  • the melvins also cover this song i believe the gods had a hand in it

  • the melvins also cover this song i believe the gods had a hand in it

  • the melvins cover into void i believe the gods had a hand in it

  • Type O negative's cover of black sabbath

  • Dr Know did the best version of this song in my opinion! This kicks ass too

  • @TheStinkyda nah exhorder

  • @kix7711therealone exhorder sucks

  • That jam in the middle is rubbing my earpussy.

  • @Metaalhoofdje123 is that what it is? mine too

  • That's a pretty solid cover! One of the only times i heard a succesfull cover of a Sabbath song. Others would be Soundgarden's version of Into The Void and Sleep's cover of Lord Of This World.

  • @Metaalhoofdje123

Sleep's cover of Snowblind is a motherfucker too.

  • the band!

  • not bad but Exhorders cover of this songs owns they pull the sludge tone off perfectly

  • @sheppoperth

Black Sabbath > Kyuss > Exhorder

  • @Meatsparkle +1

  • @Meatsparkle no the kyuss cover is the worst not the sabbath original

  • @kix7711therealone I believe you are uneducated about which direction of > points to the greater. Remember the alligator mouth? Alligator eats the bigger portion? He's saying the sabbath is the best.

  • @Kingddd333 ok i am going to admit my mistake and move on

  • This is way too heavy for the general public.

    Tone it down, guys.

  • Nice cover but the original is still better in my opinion.
