Can someone explain Cobra Shot to me as a MM hunter? Is it something we do not need? Is steady shot superior for some reason I am not getting?

Just a quick question - do you only ever use Aimed Shot when it is instant cast or do you use it after every 2 steady shots?

@genuinelyniceguy Only when it's instant cast, except for when Rapid Fire is up and/or Heroism or Bloodlust is up, then you can use Aimed Shot after every two Steady Shots, to stop focus capping.

@genuinelyniceguy You essentially use Arcane Shot in place of Aimed Shot when heroism isn't up. Use it whenever you're close to being focus capped, and Chim Shot in on CD. You should try to be at 100 focus as little as you can, while still being able to use Chim shot as soon as it comes off CD, you use Arcane Shot to do so =)

@irishwowplayer1 It's actually not that hard for an MM hunter compared to some other specs. If there is predictable movement in a fight, like Maloriak, you can build up focus through steady shotting just before you will have to move, and then you can just spam Arcane Shot/Chim shot while moving. This will give you at least 5-6 seconds of solid moving DPS before you'll have to start steady shotting again.

@RefinedDreadmaul you can also use aspect of fox, and do steady shot while moving. write a macro for aspect of hawak. It is very useful. I have one question about glyphs, do you think serpint sting glyphs is good? currently i have that or you think i should change it to chinmera glyph?

@nizan233 I would honestly take Chimera shot over Serpent Sting. SS does a very, very small percentage of our damage whereas Chimera shot is one of the top 3 damaging abilities for most fights.

Is silencing shot really that important? For example if you're raiding, most melee classes have an interrupt.. so you wouldn't have to use SS. I'm probably wrong but i was wondering

@Thr33FatKids It's not necessary, you're right. It's all about personal preference. As with Trueshot Aura, the only other useful option to put the point into instead of Silencing Shot is Sic' Em, which is tiny DPS increase at best, and I prefer to have an interrupt handy just in case.

@TrebleKiller Considering I do multiple dailies for my Valor Points each week, where there is a chance of not having a 10% AP buff already in the group, I don't see the harm in taking it. Besides, it's only 1 point. The only other benefit you could get from that extra point would be another point in Frenzy or Sic' em, both of which do very, very little in increasing your overall DPS.

@jossi95 I usually don't take Marked for Death, I must have recently respecced into it for a heavy target changing fight, where it becomes moderately useful over the alternatives. It is useless for the majority of current fights, however, cheers for pointing it out.

Actually haste values depend on your gear and can be higher than crit and mastery....

It would be better to read on elitistjerks before taking this video seriously.

@TheWarmachine86 The only time haste takes on a greater value than crit and mastery is when it brings you up to the next plateau, i.e. allowing you an extra steady shot in between aimed/chimera/arcane shots.

The amount of haste required for this is so much as to make it detrimental for a hunter of mid-low end gear (to which this video was aimed) to stack haste to reach this level.
