I had this puppy dog love for this gal, but couldn't get up enough nerve to approach her for the longest time. Then one day she sat all alone in the corner booth at Dane's Soda Shop, staring out a window, face full of tears. Where Jockboy Greg had made a mistake, I eased in next to her and did the right thing. Married now 44 years.

Such a beautiful song & how sad it was so underrated & unappreciated during its run in the charts. I'm a baby boomer born in 52,so the 60's was truly a golden era for me(& I'm sure those of you out there too). I can tell you,for a kid growing up in NYC classic stuff like this carved a groove in my heart & soul forever. The soul Del has when he sings "she plays around......."goes right to the core. Listen to him double tracking his vocals too. The man was absolutely amazing !! Thanks for posting.
