  • NO SONG effects me as this one does for reasons I can't identify......

  • Brilliant...his best ever. Fabulous song.

  • That 'little town flirt,' became my steady date summer of '63. She wasn't a 'slut,' just spunky and bubbly, naturally attracting the eager affection of the guys. I had this puppy dog love for this gal, but couldn't get up enough nerve to approach her for the longest time. Then one day she sat all alone in the corner booth at Dane's Soda Shop, staring out a window, face full of tears. Where Jockboy Greg had made a mistake, I eased in next to her and did the right thing. Married now 44 years.

  • @jeff62rey What a terrific comment...loved it. Regards...Lanny (Nocaro on YouTube)

  • Great singer and a awesome guitar player as well

  • RIP Del. Thanks for the music.

  • Next only to the master Roy Orbison, Del was one of the greatest singer song writers of all time , I never get tired of playing their songs, they will never be equalled.

  • And this is a fun song and good tune......

  • Everytime I here this---I go straight back to 1963 and my first date with a really cute little blonde in the office. I kept trying for weeks to get her to say yes, trouble was, she had about 10 other young guys after her too. Oh yes--it was worth it!

  • Great song and great stereo sound! Thanks

  • cliff in everton, here ye del shannon was cool

  • Great song. I can feel it in the pit of my stomach, like I was a teenager again.

  • could have been an accident as he was apparently about to join the travelling wilburys and that would have been something else to hear

  • all the money in the world wont get rid of depression.del was my favourite singer.his ballads are still THE BEST

  • @gord47100 I just don't believe that Del killed himself; I believe it was an accident and the doctor who ruled it a suicide was just to dumb to know the difference.

  • excellent oldie !what a powerful clean voice ! what a tragic loss! great talent !

  • Nocaro - you load good stuff! Don't know why it took so long for me to look this one up - always loved Del Shannon.

  • HE HAD MONEY DIDNT HE? SO WHY KILL YOURSELF

  • @MrVampiredog You're either a fool or an evildoer.

  • @coyotesong F you bitch

  • @MrVampiredog You're a useless cretinous sunuvabitch from what I can see. Why don't you get off the planet and let real ppl breathe.

  • (Proverbs 30:20) Such is the way of an adulterous woman; she eats, and wipes her mouth, and says; I have done no evil.

  • @ROGER459 Man, this has been goin' down for a long, long time, hasn't it. Thanks for sharing the verse from Proverbs.

  • Ah love these oldies great upload thanks ..Aussie :)

  • taken from us too soon

hope your rockin up there Del.

  • I was only 10 yrs. old when this song came out , but it is one of my favorites

  • Thanks for the great tunes, Del. Wish you could have stuck around longer. Godspeed.

  • An unknown model, but I never saw a little town flirt that looked like that...if the song were maybe called "Big City Flirt..." :)

  • Great song and video. I forgot how good looking Del Shannon was. By the way who is the girl ?

  • @kim10800 The girl is just an unknown model.

  • @kim10800 That's the Town Flirt! We called them sluts

  • @rudolphbaca What do they call the guys who flirt? I love flirting, it's a natural human state, and mostly inocent.

  • Such a beautiful song & how sad it was so underrated & unappreciated during its run in the charts. I'm a baby boomer born in 52,so the 60's was truly a golden era for me(& I'm sure those of you out there too). I can tell you,for a kid growing up in NYC classic stuff like this carved a groove in my heart & soul forever. The soul Del has when he sings "she plays around......."goes right to the core. Listen to him double tracking his vocals too. The man was absolutely amazing !! Thanks for posting.

  • @jbyesterday .me too 1952 was a very good year

  • He never made a bad record.

  • @peeterpoon He was disapointed in the record ginny in the mirror because he didnt write it he didnt want to record it but he was forced into it he though it slowed down his momentum

  • Excellent sound, as always in your channel.

    Thanks!

  • This is a fav of mine!!!

  • Great song. I love it.

    Thanks for posting.
