School quality and the state of education in America. That's not at all the full story. The educational upbringing of a child isn't solely based upon schooling. Kids who go off on vacation every summer actually do better in school than kids who don't. Kids with a well rounded lifestyle do better. Students with positive influences outside of school do better in school. There's no solid correlation btw unions, teachers and student success without viewing all other factors.

Walmart is a major source of American job lost, since the 70's, they affect almost every category of manufacturing, from electronics to clothes and leather goods.

The waiting list(Pay Dues) to get onto the C list is 1200 people deep with a waiting time of over 3 years at 50 dollars a month. Second of all slavery in Africa was different from what slavery here was. Prisoners of war were made slaves in Africa, but they weren't raped, bred, beaten, lynched, worked to death, tortured, etc. It was not driven by greed and slaves were released after sometime and accepted into the community. Some even became kings. Slavery by inhuman, physcopathic whites was a different thing altogether.

School quality and the state of education in America. That's not at all the full story. The educational upbringing of a child isn't solely based upon schooling. Kids who go off on vacation every summer actually do better in school than kids who don't. Kids with a well rounded lifestyle do better. Students with positive influences outside of school do better in school. There's no solid correlation btw unions, teachers and student success without viewing all other factors.

Walmart is a major source of American job lost, since the 70's, they affect almost every category of manufacturing, from electronics to clothes and leather goods.
They even affect US farmers., do some research on it...

What would be happening if the UN didn't exist? Well, one of the many notable things- Universal Declaration of Human Rights. While not enforceable, it still set the human rights movement into motion. There's also the WHO, UNICEF, the eradication of smallpox/polio, and more.
While I'll agree, they're not perfect- No organization is, though- but there's no denying they're doing something.

I agree with his take on Union's. Take a deep look at IUOE Local 12 in So. NV. The waiting list(Pay Dues) to get onto the C list is 1200 people deep with a waiting time of over 3 years at 50 dollars a month. Do the math, that's $60,000 a year the union is collecting, and the people who paid it see nothing back. Hmmmmmm

Because institutions change names, make acquisitions, etc.. I actually saw a presentation where a woman who went to the Library of Congress and did the research. Many of the railroads, farms and other industries have records that show they profited fron slavery as well.

First of all, two wrongs don't make a right. There is a crime called "receiving stolen property".
Second of all slavery in Africa was different from what slavery here was. Prisoners of war were made slaves in Africa, but they weren't raped, bred, beaten, lynched, worked to death, tortured, etc. It was not driven by greed and slaves were released after sometime and accepted into the community. Some even became kings. Slavery by inhuman, physcopathic whites was a different thing altogether.

I agree some blacks were sold by other blacks. What difference does that make? There is no evidence that the Egyptians enslaved anyone. Again that makes no difference.
But if you claim to be an American then take responsibility for it's wrongs as well as it's good things.
Don't be a hypocrite. Don't talk about the constitution and Democracy and how proud you are of it, and ignore the evil parts. Or you are just full of bull. No one is blaming you personally, this is an issue for the country.

What about black slave owners in America. Who pays for those guys? My ancestors didn't own slaves.
Nobody is ignoring or denying slavery in America. I think that most people think it's just time to move on. Not one single American alive today was ever a victim of slavery. Unless it was of their own design.

It doesn't matter if there was a black slave owner or two. This country passed law after law to support slavery. And to say people alive today aren't suffering from its after effects is just foolish. And if you don't see the design and who is profiting from... for instance, crack then you should start doing a bit of web surfing.

This country hasn't passed any law to support slavery since 1864. The only reason that people are suffering TODAY from a practice that ended over 140 years ago is because those SAME people keep themselves under the effects. If you dont want to be 'suffering' from the effects of slavery, stop holding your own race down by crying about racism yourself.

Especially even history as recent as the civil rights movement of the 1960's.

First of all, my ancestors neither owned slaves or supported slavery. Secondly, no one was more poor than I was as a child unless they were homeless. You will never catch me hitting a crack pipe and crying about it. I made a regular sort of success out of my life despite those issues and am proud of it.
Sad really. It's people like you that enable those impoverished in the black community to retain their position in the world.

And it was a lot more than a black slave owner or two. In the 1860 census, there were around 3,000 black slave owners in New Orleans alone, a full 28% of the black inhabitants of New Orleans at that time. Maybe you should do some surfing yourself.

The scars left rom slavery are very evident in the black community. For instance, the so-called justice system that is really a modern day slave system. Centered around drugs that black people did not grow, create, or make the lion share of profit of. We dont have the planes to fly it in, nor the boats or the help of the government to get it here. But it is allowed by law enforcement to be sold in our communities and used to enslave blacks who are then used for cheap labor. How about the guns?

Hey there are PHYSICAL scars. All of this manifests itself in the real world. There is a tremendous amount of emotional trauma, violent attacks, incalculable economic disparity, cultural theft and a covert and overt smear campaign against blacks since we got here too.
And this MY Country. And I don't like that it took more than it deserved.

@JDajerC confederates were not about slavery. Yes they had slavery, but so did the union, General Sherman had slaves up until 1965 when the amendment passed. The myth that the confederacy and the civil war was about slavery is slowly diminishing. The KKK has nothing to do with the confederacy. Thanks, do your own research.
