Every time I play Gangstar Miami Vindication on the iPod this is what I listen to everytime in in a police chase then I ramp when he says WOO BIG BAD LEROY WOO WOO BIG BAD LEROOOY...BROOOOOOOOOWN
Freddie's voice was said to be routed to a pair of headphones that were placed inside a big metal "coffee can"-style container and a recording microphone was then placed inside the metal can to record the sound of Freddie's voice...coming out of a pair of headphones...inside a metal coffee can! It produced the effect of an tinny old record player. So- no electronic studio trickery was actually used...just some ingenuity from some musical geniuses.
luuv it! yesterday i danced 5 times (without pause) on this song and I was really tired cos it goes really fast to dance on it. but i love this song and its fun to dance on it.
Big bad caused a mighty fine sensation Yeah Yeah! Gone and got himself elected President We want Leroy for President Next time you gotta hit a bitty baddy weather This time like a shimmy shammy leather He's a big boy bad boy Leroy I don't care where you get him from Bring that big bad Leroy back Want him back EIS AS MELHORES PARTES DESSA MÚSICA DIVIIINAAA!!! BRING BACK ARREGAAAAÇA!
With comedy tracks like this I think Queen wanted to show they could do more than just ballads or rockers, like most any other band does. At the same time this is a masterpiece in a category of it's own :)
Unfortunately the website you got this from seems to be gone: "Recently we lost a great deal of user data due to a hard drive failure" - ouch! I hope they recover.
thank you good sir it seems that this song has been lost to time but now its back again! YAY WE GET TO HEAR FREDDIES OLD STUFF~ Q_Q why freddie..... RiP
One of the most versatile bands ever! Best thing about them was their courage - they did what they pleased, yet it always seemed to fit their style remarkably. Brilliant chemistry that you just never see these days.
@WLQonlineMusic Well he means that queen did things like Jazz, vaudeville, rock opera, rock blues, progressive, all kinds. When some bands like say Aerosmith or Led Zeppelin or Pink Floyd mainly kept to one kind, just rock.
Onw word:
Loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooolll!!!

I never took them to be comedy track. Just an extension of Mercury's sense of fun.

The high notes are all Freddie though I believe... from what I recall, Freddie did all the vocals on this track.
JwebGuru 1 year ago
IIRC the very low note is Freddie with his voice slowed down.

it was an effect, i read somewhere

It's not an effect, Queen deny it and Roger did that.

rocksation is right. Besides, It wouldn't be like Queen to use an effect. Especially in 1974.
