hi there :] i'm on the verge of getting one of these. but i can't find a consistent weight online--every website says something different. i've narrowed it down to 7 to 19 lbs. I'm hoping that it's about the same weight as my solid-body tele. great demo btw!!
Hello. I just got a Korina Explorer for Christmas, but I was looking into buyinga 300 Variax. I have the money for, or instead I could get the line 6 DW-4 distortion and a DD-3 delay. Which one should I do?
You are a ROCK STAR and we want more! We've never seen such masterful playing like that, your hands should be insured (or bronzed, though that would make it harder to play). At least they'd be around for eons for people to admire. Sam & Suzy (You're 2 newest big fans!)

It pisses me off that it's only got 22 frets (at around 3:25 I'm just aching to hear those higher notes, but you just can't play them without the 24 frets - that sucks!!!). Also, the battery situation sucks. I have a first generation POD. Do you know if the guitar can be powered by it? Probably not. Take care.
That was the Variax, using six 'AA' batteries, plugged into a JSX half stack on the amber channel. Thats it. The guitar was on the Lester rhythm setting for the first half and the treble setting during the solo. All of the sound is just the Variax interacting with the JSX. Sounds great don't it? The Variax 300 is a fine guitar, I can't see using it as a main axe myself, but let your ears and eyes be the judge...it sounds great. Thats why I posted this.
would you say that most of the tone comes from the electronics and not wood so theres no need to splash out on the variax 700 and opt of the 600 or the 300 like your self btw sounds good
awesome playing, I like your sound better than Satriani playing it in the G3 video. You seem to put more feeling into it than he does in that one video. I'm not a guitarist, but I want to be as soon as I can afford the variax 700 electric. How long have you been playing?
Great playing man, good to see a variax owner actually making it sound good haha. I've got a 600 myself and am sometimes frustrated by the awful tones people choose to post on youtube.

It's the only way to model so many different guitars.

Did you put that straight into an amp, recording software, or what? How did you get the distortion? Did it come just from the Variax itself?
I'm getting the 300 and POD XT Live soon! I love the different guitars you can get out of it.
