This song can really be about anything, I know I have friends who are heavily into drugs and even still, they compare this song as to that of falling in love and losing something you care about. I have cried from this because it was touching because I've felt this way about a friend who had passed away. However I do see the drug reference as well. But it's a beautiful song, with or without the debate it will remain to represent different things in an individuals life. So jump around :)

@losermonster Equalizer is a band hailing from my hometown of Montreal, Canada. Sweet Mary is the only song of its kind that they do, they are essentially a reggae band made up of some jewish kids that went to my old school. They broke up a while ago and the lead, Chris Velan, went on to start a solo career. Its a shame really, they only got to release one CD. Still my favorite song of all time
