Thank you for the memories Winnipeg Arena! If a building could have had a soul, I'm sure the old barn would be looking down on Winnipeg and smiling with the return of the NHL (hopefully the Jets!). Many great memories in the old building, but the torch has passed (after 15 years of hockey purgatory) and new memories and legacies will be made!
BRING BACK THE JETS!!!! Have u seen the crowd at the Phoenix games? theres barely 10000 people there! If the league were to bring back the Jets it would be a packed house every night!!!!!!!!!!
Perhaps the team would still be here if this video happened 5 or 10 years earlier. The old barn. Lots of great memories but still the old (stinky) barn. I'll never forget Steen's retirement night. But not a lot of NHL hockey success in this building, they couldn't even succeed in demolishing it properly.
All that remains is a fucking parking lot. Nice way to remember the pride of a great team that refused to quit. I cry watching this video knowing that Gary Bettman is a fucking tool. If they ever come back, and do get a new arena, they should build a new one that looks just like the old barn. It would only seem right to have the jets back, in their new "old" arena.
Much as I'd love toi see Winnipeg, and Quebec City back in the NHL, there's no way Gary Bettman is going to move Pheonix, or one of the other struggling franchises like Atlanta, or Nashville up to Canada. That guy is already talking about places like Kansas City for Christ's sake. This league need to get out of these struggling maekets and put teams in places where they'll be supported with passion..I'm from Chicago, and I echo your rallying cry JHendrix BRING'EM BACK! Thanks for great videos!
Besides their first season in Phoenix, the only time the Coyotes have sold out a game was during a pre-season game in September 2007, in Winnipeg! Message to NHL, give Winnipeg back their Jets! GO JETS GO! GO JETS GO!
Ugh. You see the massive crowd around the cars (1:36)? And Bettman wonders why he's boo'd...he SOLD the Jets. They didn't want to be moved. It's not like Phoenix is a hockey hotbed.

I miss that building, I have so many memories there. I watched the last Jets game there in 1996.
And I can't believe they still haven't developed the site for parking or anything else

It hung on till the very end, it didn`t want to die. I had a cheer at that moment, but it turned to sadness when the building finally went.
