Totally agree.

It is one of the best soundtracks for a long while. Up there with Vangelis and Bladerunner. Nodded back to the early eighties with the really fat analogue synth sounds but brought it bang up to date with derezzed etc.

The movie was okay, mediocre story and not so interesting characters. But the art direction, the special effects, the creativity that was put into designing the grid and most especially the soundtrack were the strong parts of it.

The soundtrack is amazing. The movie, not so much. Acting wise, thanks to Jeff Bridges, there was something to admire. However, the directing was nothing spectacular, and the writing was downright horrible, and the cgi was at times sloppy. I still give it 3.5/5.
