  • Fantastic video, I really appreciate that. Can you explain why you DON'T use a sight pusher tool and instead go with the hammer and punch? I was thinking of getting a sight pusher because that would allow me to sight the weapon in at the range for windage instead of shooting groups at the range, going back home and adjusting, back to the range, etc. etc. Thanks.

  • @rupert93r Our videos are made to educate our customers using the tools which come included with our sights to produce the best results. Must people don't own sight pusher tools, but if you do, fantastic! Use them (especially in the scenario you mentioned - At the range) and get shooting!

  • Question: Do you condone this same installation method (i.e., punch & hammer) when installing night sights with tritium vials? I've read opinions stating the vials are too delicate and the more expensive sight pusher method is preferred over the punch/hammer method. GREAT VIDEO by the way -- thanks for taking the time.

  • @wideglidebry Yes, we do tritium sight installation the exact same way. Because they're tapped in at the dovetail and not at the vials there's no way to damage the vials.

  • What kind of wrench did you use to remove the screw for front sight, and where can I get one? I want to install one of your FO frontsights, and not knowing how to remove/replace this screw is holding me up. Also would like to know where to get your nylon tipped punches. Thanks

  • @m469699 The wrench is available for purchase in our web store but here's the best part: We include that wrench for free with each and every Dawson Precision Perfect Impact™ Glock front sight we sell. As for the nylon tipped punch, same deal. We sell 'em in our web store but you get one for free with every DP rear sight we offer.

  • Can you mix and match night sights from different manufacturers? Like if I wanted a trijicon front sight with a meprolight rear sight

  • @makeluvin Yes, as long as you know the required front height for the appropriate rear. You always base the height of the front sight off the rear. Never the other way around.

  • Oh, man. This is great! Thanks for making/posting this video. BTW, your shop is the epitome of order. You inspired me to get to work making my area more organized!

  • First off, great video! I'm a big fan of your gear! The videos, as others have said, are great too. The angles are good and you give good clear close ups.

Ok now my stupid question... how about your new adjustable rear sight (for glock, item ##017012). I'm thinking it's pretty much the same process as far as fitting goes, but I really don't want to screw it up.

  • @tjby54 Thanks for the kudos, we're glad to be able to help out. Not a stupid question at all: The installation of an adjustable sight is basically the same as a fixed sight, just be sure that you back out the set screw all the way before doing the install. Good luck!

  • Nice video.

  • Great video man! I am confident now, after watching this video, in installing the Trijicon night sights I just ordered. And if I happen to take it to an armorer to get them installed, I will ask their process, and if its not like yours, they dont get my business. Nice work!

  • hi i brought a second hand glock34 after 200 rounds the rear sight has become loose its a dawson p1 centering the rear sight i can wiggle it does that mean they filed down the rear sight to much thanks nice videos

  • @garettleigh Yes, the sight has been filed down too much. The only way to fix this is to replace the sight.

  • Great demonstration sir! Thanks.

  • My friend, You website was down and I need to know if you can install a red Fiber optic front sight on an HK p30L. Please let me know.

    Thank you

  • @sheeco10 That part number for the HK P30L Fiber Optic Inserted Front Sight is 020-319.

  • These are exactly the type of "instructional videos" that I like! Doesn't get any better than this! Thanks alot!

  • @luckystrike79

Good lighting, good camera angles, clear instruction, and no obnoxious music. I don't understand how so many people manage to screw this up.

  • Great info i just bought a set from you guys and after watching this video it was really easy to press fit my sights. Thank you again for all the info on how to.

  • Nice vid. The rear sight on my G19 came off by itself, leaving the lower metal portion still on the slide. (and the gun was brand new. Never shot before. Just chose to come off). G.I. sent another sight to me. I banged it up so bad that the very side got kind of shorter. Now it seats in the middle but looks like the sight is off to one side. 'Glock perfection'.. yeah...suuuure... Anyways, it was darn hard to get it in!

  • @park2086 Head on over to our website. We make the best Glock sights on the planet!

  • @Oper8or You can send just the slide and we would install them without the need to use an FFL. Just give us a call and we'll get you fixed right up!

  • If I wanted a set of sites installed on my pistol would I be able to send it to you directly or do I have to send it through a FFL? I'd love to have you guys put my sites on.

Just promise me small animals would be harmed while you did the work. Wait, no, I mean promise me small animals would NOT be harmed. That is what I meant, honest.

  • Great Video!

  • Good info. I may have to buy a set.

  • Thanks for sharing, im getting my first Glock Gen 4 19 i a few days just waiting on it to come in now

  • Dave, Thanks for the video! I always enjoy learning from your expertise!

  • Awesome video Dave! Thanks for sharing.
