@penguineatswalrus God many times has to strip everything away bit by bit in order to rebuild - we are the 'clay' He is the Potter ....& if we allow Him He will purify us as pure Gold. His agenda is far better than ours - He gives us what we need many times not what we want. We just have to trust Him & not lean on our OWN understanding. Trust & obey ... there is no other way. @viper4673 You should be able to pray at home, that's why it's a personal relationship with Jesus, you should be able to pray anytime, wherever as long as your not just doing it for show. However, (ps i'm a pretty lazy churchgoer) i don't think you should write of the church as just business. It can turn into a lot of political bs sometimes, but there is strength in fellowship. "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." Stay strong :)
@viper4673 .Brick n mortor can't help you with sin,the flesh is weak. The Holy Spirit does though and sometimes it takes time for thing's to change. Remember we are born in sin, this is a fractured world. Go to church because you love Him and He loves you. Not because you think God's going to love you more, or forgive you by being there. He already died for you that's the greatest Love there is. He took on our sin's and commanded us to love Him above all other's and our neighbor like ourselves!

I've been baptized already. at first I starting listening to world music for abit but now since I've been praying and going on missions and everything,I have letted everything go. I gave everything to God,he has helped me for so many things,I've gotten baptized by the Holy Spirit,it was beautiful..so now I've changed and I know God has been here for me this entire time. On May 21, 2011 a friend helped guide me to Christ. I accepted Him on that day and this song means so much to me. irishthunder18 I am happy that you were baptized the bible says that we need to get baptized but I am not a baptist just a plain old bible believing christian and I get fully immersed, remember that baptizing is the outward appearance of what happened inside. Water is the grave and when we rise we are new in Christ, symbolically of coarse. Praise JESUS for SAVING US not the act of baptizing.
While I was in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, for our Mission Trip this year, I was baptized along with 6 others in the pool where we stayed. Afterwards, the rest of our team gave us all hugs and were able to congratulate us. One of our interpreters even sprinted down to the pool to witness the event as soon as he heard we were having a baptism! There was a moment, as I was coming up out of the water (As Baptists we do full immersion), where I felt absolutely clean and renewed - truly Born Again.
As i walked through the valley of the shadow of death. lying in ICU in Ohio, needing a kidney, my brother gave his so I could recieve one from a stranger, I played Jesus 8 yrs in a drama, bro was Pastor, Stranger from Colorado.. a Pastor. July 28 last year I was born again..

Salvation is through faith in what Christ did for you- One is saved by believing the Gospel- the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ (Acts 16:30-31, I Corinthians 15:1-4, Ephesians 2:8-9, John 3:16). Water baptism is only a picture of what already took place when we were saved- we died with Christ and were buried with Him and now we have newness of life-Holy Spirit baptism- Romans 6:3-5

I really want to feel like this again. I'm at that point in life where I'm about to be on my own and it just feels like God isn't there. I've been in such a dark place spiritually, I know God is there but it doesn't feel like it. And I keep in my Word every night and pray and try to be a positive example, but I just feel so dead. I've been baptized already. at first I starting listening to world music for abit but now since I've been praying and going on missions and everything,I have letted everything go. I gave everything to God,he has helped me for so many things,I've gotten baptized by the Holy Spirit,it was beautiful..so now I've changed and I know God has been here for me this entire time. I love God and I thank Jesus for dieing on the cross for me. :D

On May 21, 2011 a friend helped guide me to Christ. I accepted Him on that day and this song means so much to me. If I would have listened to it on May 20th, I would've thought "whatever. this song is okay", but after the next day. the song has so much meaning and I love it. Thank you God for helping me grow closer to You and thank you for being by my side through everything in my life. I am so thankful that You love me and gave your son to die for my sins! :)

irishthunder18 I am happy that you were baptized the bible says that we need to get baptized but I am not a baptist just a plain old bible believing christian and I get fully immersed, remember that baptizing is the outward appearance of what happened inside. Water is the grave and when we rise we are new in Christ, symbolically of coarse. Praise JESUS for SAVING US not the act of baptizing.

While I was in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, for our Mission Trip this year, I was baptized along with 6 others in the pool where we stayed. Afterwards, the rest of our team gave us all hugs and were able to congratulate us. One of our interpreters even sprinted down to the pool to witness the event as soon as he heard we were having a baptism! There was a moment, as I was coming up out of the water (As Baptists we do full immersion), where I felt absolutely clean and renewed - truly Born Again.

glorious song! i will attempt to keep my entry here to the posted 500 characters. i was baptized and confirmed in the episcopalian faith and then when my family moved we were no longer church goers. i was in college and a fraternity and partyed my tail off, the old women, recreational drugs and alcohol. joined the air force and was in a car accident that left me in a coma and am now bi-polar. thru all my hardships i have grown and now am crazy about god and all he wants is obedience!LUV2ALL

I like this song very much. You see the day my loving brother died' is the same day he sent me a message driving home. I was so sad and crying.when all of the sudden something told me to look to the left I did and to my amazement I saw two angels carrying my brother up towards heaven. Then someone said listen to the song on the radio. As I did it was my brother speaking to telling me what I needed to know it made me so happy to know he no longer had any madical problems he's with God now. Texas

Everytime I hear this song I cry. But tears of joy. Cause I was once lost to the streets and gang life. And when I gave my life to the LORD everything has changed. All my prayers I ever prayed for starting beign answered. When I got Baptized I felt the old me leave just die. After all these years of being hard headed. But its all in GOD'S timing. I cant even explain half the stuff thats happening in my life now all I know is its OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST doing his works in me. AMEN

Salvation is through faith in what Christ did for you- One is saved by believing the Gospel- the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ (Acts 16:30-31, I Corinthians 15:1-4, Ephesians 2:8-9, John 3:16). Water baptism is only a picture of what already took place when we were saved- we died with Christ and were buried with Him and now we have newness of life-Holy Spirit baptism- Romans 6:3-5

@runforthecrown why would Christ make it a point to be baptized and to preach of baptism His entire life if it were merely a "ritual"? If anyone didn't need to be baptized it was Christ yet He did--because His life was an example to us.

@jkhall6115 Christ did have his disciples baptize people along with John the Baptist. It was an outward testimony of what has already taken place in their soul. But water baptism never saved anyone. An unbeliever can be water baptized and that does not make him/her a believer. If one adds water baptism in order to be saved, that is not salvation. Salvation is only through faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ Gospel- John 3:16, Eph. 2:8-9, John 11:26, Rom. 3:28, Rom. 1:16, I Cor. 15:1-4.

I really want to feel like this again. I'm at that point in life where I'm about to be on my own and it just feels like God isn't there. I've been in such a dark place spiritually, I know God is there but it doesn't feel like it. And I keep in my Word every night and pray and try to be a positive example, but I just feel so dead. I know this is satan attacking me, but I'm so ready for it to be over. I just want to feel alive again.
