Great playing as always! I noticed you play Bird tunes down tempo. This gives them a whole new feel and proves they don't have to be played in high tempos to sound good!
I'm working on this tune myself, but I'm thrown of at the B section.
Thanks,Amund, they're great themes that can be played slower, try to get all the mixolydian modes for the bridge, that's a good start.later you can add some altered stuff, greets Vic.
Hey que bonito suena! y limpio! este es el solo de anthropology que es esta en el omnibook de Parker? me parece que es el mismo, me gusta mucho. felicitaciones.
Thank you Merlyn, that's a wonderfull name for your daughter and I will consider doing that tune in the future,it's a great Standard, glad you're enjoying my Stuff, there's quite a lot on my channel to listen to,we'll be hearing from eachother, greetings Victor.
Well that's different! Anthropology is usually played really fast. You make it sound very lyrical at this speed. I prefer your flowing solo to Enzmusics version of Rhythm changes(ie Moose the mooche).
An interesting comment Conn, somehow I prefer medium(up) and slow tempo's so I can really concentrate on a good melody flow, guess I'm more a "Mainstream Jazzman" than a Bebopper, anyway the main thing is to play what you feel inside. Thanks for commenting, greetings Victor.
Thanks Classican,This is an Ibanez GB-20 that I bought in 1981,this model isn't made anymore but it's a very fine instrument,I changed the George Benson original soapbar pickup for a "Seymour Duncan" humbucker which I think is a good improvement soundwise.greetings Victor.
Vic: i googled "rythm changes" and the second result was you!
I am studying this chord progression and i must say, i love it!
