No way man, I can't stand him. It's like every time I would head into band class and take a seat he'd always be right next to me and start playing these bass riffs like he was trying to rub it in my face that he played a "cool" instrument.

The music making you smarting thing is true though. My grades were horrible before 6th grade, then i joined band, and my FCAT scores and grades rocketed to really high scores. All my finals were 94% or higher. Music is great, you can live without sports, you can't live without music.
