    kenny

  • he kida looks like mr bean

  • what time of year do they have that show ? and where is it at ?

  • This show no longer exists but there are steel guitar shows all around the country. Google "steel guitar forum" and look under Events and Announcements.

  • Good job playing, Bill. It was also good to see Jeff Newman on bass. It looked like he was really enjoying himself.

  • If you made any mistakes I sure didn't hear them.

    thanks for posting

  • Thank you. Then enjoy and I won't tell you where the mistakes are. hehe

    Bill

  • Great Playing for a early morning.. lol..How do you sound when your awake?

  • I hope I sound better than at 8 in the morning. However, I was able to pull it off without too many mistakes. Thanks for the compliment.

  • Bill you sound alot like, you know who, Dale told you that a lot, And I think so to. Keep up the good work. Great video

  • Bill Its great to see you in front of the camera you have a great sound I too like the Emmons , the video you did where you played backup on "Getting over you again" was brilliant I look at that video regularly its a favourite.

  • What mistakes? I dug the playing and rated it a 5 star video.

  • Really great playing! I love it. Please don't forget to smile !

  • Smiling is one thing (among others) I cannot do while I am playing steel guitar. I only know a few players that can. Most of us struggle somewhat to get what we are after from this confounded instrument. Bill

  • Bill Ive the had the pleasure hearing you around the atlanta area . JUST WANT SAY TO LOVE THE WAY YOU PLAY . VERY INSPIRING

  • Not being a steel picker,I wouldn't know one from the other but the sound on this clip is super.

  • Note for note Sasser. The Emmons tone eats up the Carter on other clips.

  • So are you saying my Emmons tone on this clip is better than my Carter?

On this clip, we had a recording mixer. On the other clips it was just recorded through the dinky camera microphone.

    Thanks for the comment.

  • Recording conditions would make a difference. However, have heard both guitars live and still prefer the Emmons edge.

  • I have the Emmons LeGrande (1993) custom built by Jack Strayhorn.

I also have the Carter (2004) with hand picked maple and built by Bud Carter.

    I love um both.

    Bill
