Bill Its great to see you in front of the camera you have a great sound I too like the Emmons , the video you did where you played backup on "Getting over you again" was brilliant I look at that video regularly its a favourite.
Smiling is one thing (among others) I cannot do while I am playing steel guitar. I only know a few players that can. Most of us struggle somewhat to get what we are after from this confounded instrument. Bill
Great Job Bill, And I really miss your guitar player also. Bobby Jacks

Good job playing, Bill. It was also good to see Jeff Newman on bass. It looked like he was really enjoying himself.

I hope I sound better than at 8 in the morning. However, I was able to pull it off without too many mistakes. Thanks for the compliment.

Not being a steel picker,I wouldn't know one from the other but the sound on this clip is super.

Note for note Sasser. The Emmons tone eats up the Carter on other clips.

So are you saying my Emmons tone on this clip is better than my Carter?
On this clip, we had a recording mixer. On the other clips it was just recorded through the dinky camera microphone.
Thanks for the comment.

Recording conditions would make a difference. However, have heard both guitars live and still prefer the Emmons edge.

I have the Emmons LeGrande (1993) custom built by Jack Strayhorn.
I also have the Carter (2004) with hand picked maple and built by Bud Carter.
I love um both.
